Wildlands was a fun multiplayer experience so I'm unsure how this has so badly broken things?

The skills were quite fun and I enjoyed being a drone operator who could send in explosive drones to spot and then explode on the tougher targets and the vehicle mechanics were so broken it was always fun to drive about. Yes, the missions became a bit samey and there was little real replay value but overall a solid game that kept our group amused for a fair while.

Wildlands was alright but was a constant technical mess for me with loads of glitches that I ended up trading it in after completing it, not even gonna touch this with a barge pole.
See in Game there's a edition for £100, jeez these editions are getting a joke.

Eurogamer has issued an "Avoid" assessment for the game... albeit the review only spends half a sentence about the micro transaction ("pay-to-win") elements, which seems a bit odd - especially as their wording indicates that some are "thoroughly egregious".

I can seriously recommend the last 15 seconds of this video :slol:

Bit of a strange review - you'd think it would have mentioned the previous game at least once, but no, not a word. Would have at least liked a basic "this isn't as good as Wildlands" sentence.

Of a fashion, but not as funny due to no booze on board.

I'm wondering if the game is suffering from internet rage. It has taken a ton of stick and - a bit like with Fallout 76 last year! - it's hard to learn the truth about the game because seemingly everyone is shouting "It's gooseberry fool, mate!". The RPS review seems a little less shouty and a bit more balanced; there are indeed problems and bad things... but there are good aspects, too.

This review has made me adjust my viewpoint. I'm not suggesting it's a diamond, but it seems far from being as bad as some reviews have suggested and, whilst I wouldn't pay the price asked at launch, I would take another look once a price drop arrives.

I for one am shocked (SHOCKED!) that jawa may be interested in a game that has received near-universal negative reviews :P ;)

... . I won't be rushing to pay out fifty notes for it, but should it crop up in a sale before Christmas I'd take a look!

Lewis posted that joke nearly six hours earlier; much funnier and with no vindictive build-up.

The problem with the first one for me was it came out around the same time PUBG hit Xbox Preview and well, even though it was broken AF, PUBG just provided a far better team experience.

A friend of mine has been playing Breakpoint in single player and says the games biggest problem is the 'always online' element as it's horribly unstable. Other than that he's enjoying it to a degree, although he does think Wildlands is better overall.

Maybe 6 to 12 months down the line Breakpoint might be worth looking at again.
