I’m hoping it’ll be Wildlands 2.

Agreed and of course Predator.

The Predator mission is hard as strawberry float, I've tried it at least 5 times and just can't kill the bastard :slol:

It is rock hard. Even with three of us he kept getting the jump on us. The sound and music, directly from the movie, in and around that region is fantastic though.

I FORGOT ABOUT THE PREDATOR MISSION!??!

I remember seeing the teaser when they mentioned it, but forgot all about it.
Was it good? Or a bit cheesy?

It's actually really well done and brilliantly captures the feel of movie.

Looks good. As with Wildlands though I'll wait until it's both patched and cheaper

Just like Wildlands, this will be a Day 703 purchase for me.

I don't know if perhaps I'm being a little sensitive... but that looks to be incredibly violent. I think we could be at a point where graphic and sound representation of violence is becoming a turn-off for me. The occurrences are presented very realistically and I'm not sure that I'm comfortable with slashing a guy's throat several times.

I'm not totally against fighting or violent acts in games and I recognise that these themes have formed the basis of interaction ever since gaming arrived. I've played my fair share of such games including Wildlands, the previous game in this franchise. But this vid didn't, to me, come across very well; personally, I don't want violence to be that realistically portrayed.

Linking in to the recent news about some Mortal Kombat 11 development staff suffering mentally through building realistically violence aspects over lengthy periods of time for games, I do wonder if there are negative impacts from the rise of realism in gaming.

Is someone going to make a thread for the new game?

It's similar to the Last of Us 2, these aren't just avatars carrying out basic animations so that the action is implied, it's now there to see in 4K with photorealistic characters, facial animations and blood.

I'd happily play Mortal Kombat when I was 10 and laugh at the fatalities, but the MK 11 just makes me wince.

While I can completely understand what you mean the realism of these games is totally shattered for me by the characters being able to shrug off bullet wounds with just a simple bandage (or in Battlefields case being shot point blank by a tank main cannon round can be a tad annoying but nothing a syringe or revive paddles won't fix) or in wildlands case the characters saying "SHITBALLS!!!!" as I really can't see real special forces soldiers saying that.

Jawa maybe you should start a topic about the effect game violence has on people.
I've done some pretty horrible things in games but I know it's just a game and doing the same in real life would be just bonkers so I'm curious as to why people think there's a link between games and reality.
I've read much worse stuff in books but you don't see the media getting all bothered about that and even TV can have it's moments and again the debate is at least more sensible.

Books and TV have both had their share of grief for twisting peoples minds, brainwashing kids, turning people into killers etc. Games are just another popular past time in a long list of entertainment that some, like the media, like to point the finger at for all 'teh evil in teh worldz'

I'll be getting the sequel too. Really enjoyed the first game and it should be quite fun trying out the raid in the sequel.
