I've just returned from Glasto, absolutely shattered but it was amazing. Saw Kanye and thought it was one of the best things I've ever seen live!

Other highlights include:
Lionel Richie (and the club/bar called 'Shrinel Richie' which was open at night, pictures of him everwhere and a giant model of his head)
Chemical Brothers
Run the jewels
Alabama Shakes
Wolf Alice (I know the drummer 8-) )

Think I'll have to go again!

I'm working with her uncle at the moment (He's agency). I'd never heard of her before tbh.

I was only really interested in the Chemical Brothers and DFA 1979 performances but really enjoyed watching Alabama Shakes, Wolf Alice and most surprisingly La Roux.

Was sort of enjoying Slaves (despite hating 99.9% of punk) until they started singing/shouting about finding someone's car and then about being "treated like salt", whatever the strawberry float that means.

Had such a good weekend there this weekend. It's such a vast, beautiful place that it makes every other festival I've been to look basic in comparison. Nicest crowds, best nightlife, best food, no arena checkpoints. Incredible.

I was there. Had a great time. It really is the best of the major festivals, so much more laid back in atmosphere than the others (I was at Leeds 2 years ago and it seems to be full of twats) and the lack of arena restrictions is lovely. So much to do, too. Last time I went was when I played there in 2008, was nice to go back. Felt familiar but with some nice changes.

The only other festival that I think comes close to rivalling it in terms of experience is Boomtown Fair. It's like a smaller version of Glastonbury, if Glasto was all like its Shangri-La section. Full of themed areas, all laid out like a mental town. If Boomtown had more bands that I actually wanted to see there (it's mostly punk and alternative dance), it'd possibly pip Glastonbury.

Did anyone see SOIL&"PIMP"SESSIONS? Looks like they put on a great show but the TV coverage didn't show them much love. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0 ... mpsessions

Yeah when I was at Bestival last year everyone compared it to a smaller Glastonbury and it definitely is. The nightlife isn't as diverse but during the day it's very Glastonbury-lite.

Stopped going Reading because even at 19, I couldn't be strawberry floated with the crowds. Glasto's just reminded me why I love festivals so much. Can't really see myself going back to Reading/Leeds/Download now. Considering working Bestival again this year.
