Finally someone using the touchpad as something more than just a ginormous button.

Yes!

Subtitles for background sound and etc. It's what I want to see and Tomb Raider had those. I thought it was one of the best features to included.

So pleased with this.

Game has been rated in Korea and new GOW Merchandise is coming out in September, should be hearing about a release date soon?

Why do more games not have touch pad remapping?

There's essentially 4 extra buttons just sitting there, unused.

Sony were clearly lying when they announced this for 2021.

That was marketing or whoever the strawberry float. Barlog even stated he was more than a little surprised even a tentative date had been set.

It's hard to definitely prove a negative but Someone Who Would Know Firsthand just told me they haven't heard anything about a slip to 2023, as did Someone Else Who Might Know Secondhand.

Replaying the 2018 game at the moment on NG+. It's just so, incredibly good. In a way (most ways) I cant wait for the sequel, but at the same time having a solid 12 month gap before returning to the franchise might not be such a bad thing.

Impressed by the amount of new talismans, armour etc in NG+ as well. And I don't think I defeated any of the Valkyrie last time around.

It's getting boring!!!!!

I love my ps5, as it gives me lots of free time to do other things rather than gaming.

I didn't realise that was a thing, might have to do that if I replay it at some point.

There is a whole new resource to collect which can be used to create a new grade of armour (perfect grade). Admittedly that is arguably just making the volume dial go to 11, but I have found it to give a more rewarding combat experience on the "give me a challenge" difficulty level. I found a few to many difficulty spikes at this setting on my original run through.

Having all the skills available from the get go seemed a touch overwhelming for the first couple of hours, but after that you get back in to the routine.

2018 GoW is probably going to be the next PS game I tackle once I'm through with Spider-Man, looking forward to it even though it's a franchise I've never really touched

I played this through on PC when released and loved it. I’ve since got a PS5 and I am super excited for ragnarock. Not done a new game plus, and after the credits I didn’t go back and do all the other side stuff. I found the map a bit messy to navigate but adored the core game. That first hour blew me away and sucked me right in.

It really is. Thankfully though, the quest marker on the compass is excellent. It's one of the the very few games that gives you all the direction you need to feel like you can progress without issue and stress, but also subtlety hides things along the way for you to discover. It's also a game where looking up is often rewarding. One of the more compelling games I have played. The difference in quality between this and, say, Ghost of Tsushima (which I did enjoy) is huge; I don't think I realised how big until this replay of GoW.
