Not done a new game plus, and after the credits I didn’t go back and do all the other side stuff. I found the map a bit messy to navigate but adored the core game. That first hour blew me away and sucked me right in.
It really is. Thankfully though, the quest marker on the compass is excellent. It's one of the the very few games that gives you all the direction you need to feel like you can progress without issue and stress, but also subtlety hides things along the way for you to discover. It's also a game where looking up is often rewarding. One of the more compelling games I have played. The difference in quality between this and, say, Ghost of Tsushima (which I did enjoy) is huge; I don't think I realised how big until this replay of GoW.
