It is amazing

People genuinely frightened by this :fp:

Edit: the robot I mean. Owls birds etc do that in the same we we can keep an object held in our hand and move without disturbing it, much in the way a steadycam works

First they learn how to run.

Before long, you are being chased by their parkour master assassins.

I dunno, they sound perfect for the fast food industry.

Most movies, TV shows and games that feature robots/advanced AI show them turning on humanity, it’s no wonder that people worry about it.

I am not worried though 01101011 01101001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01100001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01101000 01110101 01101101 01100001 01101110 01110011 00100000 01101011 01101001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01100001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01101000 01110101 01101101 01100001 01101110 01110011 because they only mean well and 01101011 01101001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01100001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01101000 01110101 01101101 01100001 01101110 01110011 00100000 01101011 01101001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01100001 01101100 01101100 00100000 01101000 01110101 01101101 01100001 01101110 01110011 I am definitely human.

I think he wants to build a great big mech.

Great big mechs are the only way to stop paeophiles in caves.

I'm surprised that a genius like Musk wouldn't already know how unrealistic it would be to ever build a genuine giant mecha like something out of Pacific Rim. The physics just don't work. Ground pressure, exponential energy requirements and diminishing returns on strength all make it near-impossible with current technology.

Would be better investing in near-human size (so like nothing bigger than 20 feet) mech platforms like a power loader or the weaponised ones they had in Avatar. Far more feasible.

I don’t have the hatred for Musk that Taf does, but he isn’t really a genius in the field of robotics. He made his money by investing in Paypal and then used that to buy and found other tech and space companies. I doubt he does much of the actual work, he employs people to build his batteries, cars and rockets.

He’s obviously not a complete dumbass, but he isn’t capable of personally building an Iron Man suit, he has employees for that.

Oh yeah I know he's not a robotics expert, wasn't implying that. More just his general understanding of technology and physics.
