Right, so someone with, say, triskaidekaphobia, manages to get out of bed on the 13th day of a month. Are they as brave as, say, someone who risks their life on a daily basis for 5 months?

Provided they are actually triskaidekaphobic, and not just superstitious and claiming to be, then they are brave. I don't see any point in quantifying bravery, or ranking brave acts in terms of which is most deserving of praise, because each act of bravery is more to do with a personal struggle than anything else.

Why are you treating this as a competition? Why are you trying to quantify something that is completely and totally personal? You must be an unbelievably insecure person in the real world. :?

I once went into A Vince topic and wasn't 100% pro Nintendo.

This is a thread about bravery awards. Awards are praise.

When i was 21 my mum told me that she could see outside her bedroom window that there were some people outside looking around our car port and trying the doors on the cars. I ran outside and the legged it. I chased after them and they split up, 3 went one way, 1 the other. Obviously i followed the one, smaller lad. I caught up with him told him to stop which he didn. Then his 3 other mates appeared, one had a crowbar. He took a swing at me and missed my face by millimetres (i didn't actually move my head, he just missed). I grapped the bar, smacked him on the arm to make him drop it and wrestled him to the ground (kurt angle style). By sisters boyfriend then appeared and the other lads ran off and jumped in a car (no kidding). The police arrived and the kid was arrested.

Anyway jumping forward, turned out the 4 teens had been out nicking cars. The car they drove off in was later involved in a police chase and crashed into a streetlight. The one i caught, got sentenced to 3 years as this was like his 20 offence or something.

The funny thing was, it was february and fricking freezing. After i went back in the house i realised i was outside in only a t-shirt, trousers and no shoes. The adrenaline must have seen me through.

Ain't really ever been in a situation where I had to be 'brave' mayne. Some fool licking shots off near me at a concert was pretty strawberry floated, but I made sure me and my boy stading next to me ducked down a piece and then found the rest of my friends.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying some man was licking sweat off of you? Or that he was firing a gun into the air?

Damn, I wanted it to be the sweat-licking. Still, I imagine that to be some scary gooseberry fool.
