PostGR Cross Award for Bravery
by Soulfinger » Sat Sep 26, 2009 5:37 pm

Welcome to what I believe is the first ever GR Cross Award for Bravery. While watching Soccer AM this morning they had a soldier on that won a George Cross for bravery (only 159 have been given since the first back in 1940) Basically while on a recon mission with some other soldiers he tripped a boobie trap trip wire that released grenade. Without a seconds thought he dived on the grenade to protect his fellow comrades. Luckily for him the grenade failed to go off.

So it got me thinking what brave stuff I've done and what brave stuff you guys have done. So tell us what brave stuff you have done that's worthy of a GR Cross Medal. Maybe a couple of the mods or veteran members can be on the judging committee to choose the first 3-5 winners. BE HONEST!! No I dived into Niagara Falls to save a kitten from drowning nonsense.

The bravest thing I've done sadly doesn't involve saving anyone but was a 300 foot bungee jump. (don't think I'll be winning a GR Cross for that one.

Does it count as bravery if you survive a rape attack because you're the rapist?

No? Oh ok then...

Brave?

I'm just about to go meet a bloke in the middle of Manchester armed with nothing more than a ginger wig, glasses & a strap on.

And Mace.
