October and November are time of year where we have two major celebrations. Do you dress up like a member of the EDL or as a sexy monster? Or do you light fireworks and burn effigies of Catholics (the EDL option might apply there as well)?

But which celebration is better?

An American option has been added for any Trump supporters.

Add a "None" option for the philistines.

Halloween.

I prefer Halloween, but I'm not keen on any of them to be honest.

I don't do much for any of them (well, nothing for Guy Fawkes now or Thanksgiving obviously) but in the past Halloween was always more fun.

I don't really get why we celebrate Guy Fawkes Night, although I accept that 99.9% of people who do just like sparklers and fireworks.

I voted for the Guy, although for 99% of people it's just "Fireworks Night" these days and has little significance beyond the love of pyrotechnics!

Yeah animals can struggle at this time of year.

Our dog was a bit off about fireworks when she first experienced them as a puppy, but since then she literally doesn't give a strawberry float about it. Even if we're out for a walk and they start going off she just carries on regardless. She's an odd creature!

I love bonfire night, The smell of the fire and playing with sparklers always gets me giddy, and watching fireworks is always enjoyable, especially when you haven't paid to see them and are away from the noise
Halloween hasn't ever been a big thing for us, growing up I never really did anything big with it, and apart from trick or treating 2 years ago with Ella I haven't really ever got into the spirit of it.

Our old cat wasn't scared of fireworks either, he'd happily go outside on bonfire night despite our best efforts to keep him inside - we were more concerned about some idiotic banana split throwing fireworks at him, or like what happened to someone my dad worked with's cat, some bellend decided it'd be funny to sick a lit firework in its collar, the poor thing ended up with severe burns and lost one of its ears :(

Loki and Maia don’t really care about fireworks too much - Maia will pop up to the window and see what’s going on and Loki sometimes borks at noise outside whether it’s a firework or a passing car but largely they’re ok.

I don’t particularly care for bonfire night myself, but I love Halloween. I also like Thanksgiving for the NFL that we get from it. I usually just use it as an excuse to make a roast on a Thursday to be honest.

Halloween - It's fun and exclusive, regardless of where you're from or your beliefs, whether you're a horror movie fan, a gamer, a business or a party-goer, everyone can enjoy this, the world's fastest growing festival (thanks to Hollywood no doubt)

http://mentalfloss.com/article/506197/1 ... ound-world

Guy Fawkes - strawberry float this holiday, whether it's the scrotes begging penny for the guy (not seen one in years mind) or the pricks setting off fireworks at 2am weeks before and upsetting my dogs. Let's consign this catholic-bashing relic to the dustbin!

Thanksgiving - Hmm, pointless due to the proximity to Christmas and the fact that it's as globally appropriate as baseball
