I think we are all aware that GR as a whole doesn’t lean towards the Conservative Party. But the leadership election is happening and the winner will be our new overlord no matter what we think.

If you were given a vote, which one would you go for?

It's the Conservatives, so whichever one is the least racist.

Has to be Stewart, I guess. I'd prefer it if Johnson, Raab or McVey got it so their careers can be ruined when they fail with Brexit as well. Which they would. Catastrophically.

Sajid Javid would be my choice.

Esther McVey currently seems more interested in being disingenuous towards the BBC License Fee and getting into an argument with Lorraine Kelly about something or other that happened almost 30 years ago.

Boris Johnson or Andrea Leadsom would be the worst outcome.

BoJo. The only way out of this madness is to drive into the heart of it and hope it destroys itself from within.

In reality - none of them are fit for the role but Javid would possibly be my "gun against the head" option.

Boris for me, if only so we can all watch him get pulled under the water by the eternal Brexit beast.

I'd probably pick Stewart if he had literally any chance of making it but he doesn't as he's the least Tory of the lot (and he's still more Tory than I'd like). The disappointing part is the only two women on the list are absolutely abhorrent. Not exactly a shining light for equality.

I wish there was an option for 'none of the above'

I thought about it but it seemed pointless. There are 10 candidates and one of them will be Prime Minister soon no matter what we think. A “none of the above” would win a GR poll so easily that it would tell us nothing about how many closet Johnson lovers we have here.

Mark Francois as a write in.

I voted for Stewart. He’s a bastard but probably the least bastardly bastard of the bastard bunch.
