Some absolute corkers on this list, but it's got to be Face/Off. He delivers a pretty special performance.

I recently watched Mom and Dad, and whilst the film wasn't great, he was amazing in it. I also have a soft spot for National Treasure, and I completely forgot about It Could Happen to You. I remember seeing that quite a lot when I was younger.

Just watched Spider-Verse the other day. He was one of my favourite things in it. Would definitely watch a Noir Spidey film if he voiced it as he does in Spider-Verse.

Yeah he is fantastic in that. As he is not the main character in Spider-verse I didn’t vote for it in this poll.

Con Air, The Rock, Face/off are easily the three best Nic Cage movies.

Leaving Las Vegas is amazing, and Cage is absolutely brilliant in it. No, honestly.

Yes but it gets marked down because:

1. He doesn’t swap faces with anybody
2. He doesn’t hang out with Sean Connery
3. He doesn’t kill somebody to protect a toy bunny

I voted for the two Ghost Rider films. Yeah, they're not exactly fantastic, but I can forgive that because Ghost Rider. I'd love there to be a third one.

Conair & The Rock obvs, but I have never watched Face/Off, so I voted for Kickass instead.

I vetoed Spiderverse as he is really a cameo in that, now I am wondering if his role in Kickass was big enough for it to have a similar veto

Fans should definitely seek out Mandy, it's a beautiful unicorn of a film that somehow marries 100% pure strain Cage-ian insanity to quality film-making.

He was the best part of Kickass, so it counts.

Also...you've never watched Face/Off? Not entirely sure how to respond to that. I'd suggest watching it this weekend.

Mandy is weird. All those vibrant colours, batshit images flying at your face and give it a slap.

I didn't like it. But... I didn't NOT like it. It's probably the first "Grindhouse" film I've seen in my life. I don't know what to make of it, when the film credits roll I was left bemused. It's a such abrupt film.

Most of Nic Cage's films is bad, but still enjoyable. Face/Off is probably my favourite Cage film.

I wasn't even sure it as him in kickass until now because of the moustache and the spandex

Are we talking best movie he has appeared in? Or his most Nicolas Cage performance in a movie where Nicolas Cage is an actor?

Best movie is going to be Spiderman but I think there are better people out there to play a noir Spiderman.

His most Nicolas Cage, Anicolas Cage movie...Face-off? Although Con-air is better but he was still developing into the man known as Nicolas Cage then.

It’s peak Cage while also being really good. I loved it, and voted for it here.

Reading these replies, it seems like a few have missed that you can vote for three.

Face/Off is brilliant, Cage is at his most batshit brilliant throughout.

Also its directed by John Woo so there's the typical infinite ammo and doves flying everywhere

Con Air is his best to me.
