I'd rather see Fury try to unify the belts tbh.

What's always hilarious in these situations is that regardless of whether he's right or not to punch him at the end, the mates of the guy laid out are always going 'what did you do that for?' acting surprised that their dickhead mate has been punched after he was trying to assault various others and making threats.

Tonights main card

Gutted, That was going to be an absolute banger. Aspinall is going to be out for a long time.

UFC 278 tonight. Usman vs Edwards. :datass:

Anthony Joshua's rematch against Usyk is tonight too, which I became only aware of in the last few minutes. Not sure if that says more about myself or just not a lot of hype / anticipation build up.

It's also held in Saudi Arabia, that well-known boxing nation. But it does mean a much better viewing time for a European audience compared to being held in the USA.

AJ gets a lot of stick from boxing fans but I still think he has a better resume than any current heavyweight. Yeah he's lost a couple of fights but for someone who didn't start boxing till he was 18, no real amateur background, he's done remarkably well.

I'd like to see Joshua win but my head tells me Usyk will remain victorious once again, he's just technically so good and such a joy to watch. Can't wait.

The only thing spoiling the party is Saudi Arabia :x

I'm pretty ambivalent about the result; Joshua's obsession with Saudi Arabia has really dimmed my opinion of him. I doubt they even bothered putting this fight out to tender.

So hyped for tonight's fight sports, two great boxing cards and the UFC.

Usyk late or points for me. AJ decision at 8/1 is crazy, especially with Steve Gray as ref - he could easily get a robbery.

I think Hearn would've been shown enough money by the Saudis that other location considerations would've become irrelevant. Particularly after Kyiv became unviable.

As entertaining as this fight has been, I just really don't think AJ is very good. He doesn't seem to have any fight intelligence and has got this far because he is an amazing physical specimen.

Yeah, I think AJ has had his moments, that Klitschko fight, but I couldn't see Usyk getting through a fight with Fury or Wilder like he's got through these fights. The guy is top class, but not sure he's really a heavyweight. Joshua hasn't really done much in two fights against him though.

Much better performance from AJ. I agree his strength is his physique but I think Usyk is so good he'd comfortably outbox everyone other than Fury.

A better fight than the first, for sure. Much closer but I had Usyk ahead by 3 rounds.

Must be frustrating for him in that Usyk has sort of come from nowhere and he just can't beat him and now all the talk him fighting Fury and unifying the belts has gone for him.

Yeah spot on.

Joshua is good but not great.

He beats most heavyweights but I could never see him beating either of those three. Usyk I think loses to Fury and Wilder.

I wonder was Joshua's melt down due to believing in his own hype or how his team have hyped him up. Did he just believe he had.done enough in the fight to win? Or was it a sign of him mentally breaking down as many have claimed he doesn't have that mental toughness.
