Holloway basically entering The Matrix:

I know he's lost twice to Volkonovski but no one in the Featherweight Division is on his level other than the current Champion. The trilogy fight is necessary. :datass:

Caught up with the full fight now, what a strawberry floating performance. That was another level from Holloway. Beautiful to watch. (Though I do think Kattar's corner could've pulled him out in the 4th).

Big one this coming weekend, who we got?

McGregor looks like he was juicing in some of his time off. I suspect CM round 2 KO with his added power. I think if it goes beyond the third, McGregor's going to be in trouble.

Holloway's fight definitely should have been stopped. That kind of repeated punishment is probably more damaging than being knocked out early in the 1st round. Reminded me of Tony Ferguson's fight against Justin Gaethje for the length of 1 sided beating.

Yeah was thinking Conor was looking like a juicy mofo too. He's significantly more muscular whilst looking leaner than his last fight against Cowboy. I suspect USADA weren't exactly travelling the globe frequently since March to see if fighter's are pissing hot.

I'd favour Mcgregor too, he previously has beat Poirier and he's used his off time to better fit the weight class, he hardly had to cut weight previously to meet 155lbs so was an undersized 155lb fighter. His style is obviously taxing on the cardio and with his bigger frame that's likely to be a bigger factor but in most of his fights, he tends to win them before getting gassed out.

Rest of the card isn't too impressive but I like Dan Hooker's previous fights so that should be good.

Saw that on his Instagram page. It's ridiculous looking! Definitely a money can't buy taste situation.

I think TF v JG is a good comparison and we're never getting old Tony back unfortunately. I'll probably put a few quid on McGregor getting it early so hopefully he manages.

Plus for all the stupid circus gooseberry fool, he's a very entertaining fighter to watch.

Didn't watch it, but McGregor's a bellend so the fact he got a pasting is most amusing.

Apparently he made his way to the press conference on crutches.

I don't think he'll fight in the UFC again. He'll talk it up but we're at the point where he's getting on a bit, is insanely rich and is 3-3 in his last 6.

His checking of the leg kicks was non-existent. Looks too in that boxing mind-state, as though he's lost the fluidity between kicks and punches.

Co Main event was a great intro for Mike Chandler into the UFC. With Khabib "retired" I wouldn't be surprised if they do Poirier vs Chandler for the belt.

I'd love to know how much money he's made from Proper Twelve, sales have increased year on year so it must be a fair whack. It's actually quite a nice whiskey* despite the snobbery it gets from "connoisseurs".

I don't think Conor's ego would allow him to retire on a loss but unlike most UFC fighters, he's financially set for life and his side income is immense.

Got to be a Nate Diaz trilogy fight now.

It's a guaranteed huge payday and Nate's older than Conor and been inactive for years with the only fight being the BMF title fight presented by The Rock. 8-)

Conor's only 32 (but looks older) but his fighting style is not one that leads to longevity as that explosive speed is the first part of physical fitness to decline and his gas tank has been noted as a weakness for years.

I don't drink whiskey regularly and never drink it neat and have a very small sample range of whiskeys to compare it with. :shifty:

Yeah Chandler did bits - I had a little money on a Hooker + McGregor double so that went well

McGregor Diaz to bow out is probably a good shout actually - not a massively dangerous opponent but an easy angle to make it a huge money spinner.

I'm not a whiskey drinker so never tried it but even in random shops in Poland I see P12. The distribution network for a young brand must be insane so I imagine he's really raking it in.

Can't wait for the Usman fight this weekend, should be a war!

UFC 258 tonight but I'm way too tired to get up halfway through the night. Usman has to be the obvious favourite. I've watched his fights since he first appeared in The Ultimate Fighter. Hard to see who beats him.

I've still not even caught up on 258 but I'm so happy the boxing's back. That Warrington fight was an absolute shock - he was 1/50 on sky to win! That's the longest odds I've ever seen in a two horse race.

Looking forward to the Josh Kelly fight tonight, then Canelo's return next week - should be over in 3/4 rounds but it's a privilege to watch him at the height of his powers.
