The round is complete and the draw is as follows

So who has won 2012, you decide.

I've only played five of those games, and I thought one of them was rubbish (hello Most Wanted). Had to go for Ironhide here since Trials Evolution and Diablo 3 combined accounts for hundreds of hours of fantastic gaming for me.

Very tough decisions, everyone has at least one game that I really love in their list!

Gone with Tomous, when there's a Dishonored option in there I feel almost obliged to back it! Beyond that whilst the formula has become a bit overdone in the intervening years, Far Cry 3 was fantastic at the time and TWD was also really impressive stuff back at the start.

Games there I am a fan of:

Qikz: Journey, FTL
Ironhide: Xcom
Tomous: Dishonored, The Walking Dead S1
Drumstick: Okami

Qikz pips it for Borderlands 2 being decent too

It's definitely a fairly even spread amongst the draftees. Personally, Ironhide takes it due to XCom, Diablo III and VLR with maybe Qikz second.

I went with Tom's choices; a strong range of titles and I think I'd like to tackle most of them. Good to see Need for Speed and Professor Layton included!

By most accounts Drumstick's and my tastes in games are very different, but I wound up voting for him here. I've only played two of the games on the list (the other is Tom's Layton game, not one of the Prof's best), and Okami is an all-timer. Don't think you can go far wrong with The Witcher 2 either.

Close so far!

One thing I've not considered (until now) is how to split this in the event of a tie.

Second vote with just those who tied? And maybe you don't vote in it so if that's a tie you place deciding vote?

Hard to vote against XCOM, but as for who got the most category wins, Tomous pips it for me so gets my vote. Good spread, well done all contestants.

I've only played two games featured here. One of those I only played very briefly (because I didn't like it) and both are in the same person's set. Is it fairer to abstain?

Celeste is the best 2D platformer of all time.
Many of the later Pokémon are just as, if not more, worthy of recognition than the original 151.
JRPGs are my most-played genre.

I'd presume so!

Voted for Tomous as I've actually played a couple of the games he picked.

Also didn't feel right voting for myself.
