The times will come down naturally as you become more acclimatised to the wheel, I’ve read about using the clutch pedal instead of the brake but never tried it myself.

The only racing game I’ll happily play on a pad these days is Forza Horizon 4 (and GT7 as I haven’t got a wheel for the PS4), it’s not bad on a wheel but you can tell it was made for pad users, much like the F1 games seem to be but still much more enjoyable on a wheel, now I’ve made the move back to a wheel I couldn’t go back really

Be interested to see if they ditch the management side of the game seeing as the F1 Team manager game is out this year too.

And also to see if they include porpoising

Roonmastor wrote:I managed to par up to my lap time after about 40 laps. I found a better set up for the wheel sensitivity, and crucially set the brake up on the clutch pedal to help with feeling the brakes. Also had to learn to use a foot for each pedal.

S2 in Bahrain was where I am still a little slower, but that is the technical section so to be expected.

But also, I know I could go faster on the pad if I really went for it.

The g29 brake pedal has a rubber bung in it that you can remove if you open them up.

https://www.videogameschronicle.com/new ... -revealed/

Bit more news about F1 22, big one for PC players is the inclusion of VR finally. Semi promising that they’re updating the physics and got a new tyre model for the new 18” tyres.

If the soggy wheel handling can be sorted out, it could be great.

Yeah it could be great, sadly the wheel handling won’t be known till its been out for a short while, still if you can wait a month it’ll probably be on sale already as it’s a non FIFA EA game

Edit, F1 22 also seems to have a very odd take on cross play as well, if you have the Xbox/PS4 version on the next gen machines you can play with Xbox One/PS4 users but once you upgrade you can’t anymore.

Edit 2, apparently you can cross gen play between the respective Xbox and PS consoles, just not with each other. Although there are rumours from before it was officially announced that proper cross play will be put it down the line. I have no idea if it’d be possible to have a lobby made up of Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and PS5 users though, if it does have the ability to cross play across them all then we could have quite a lot of fun online with a group of us on here.

Hard to get anything useful from the trailer other than it looks nice?

Presume they go that route to aim for that audience and hope other people will either buy the games more often than not anyway, or find out whether it’s worth purchasing by looking for more information about it outside of the trailers.

Sadly it looks like road cars are in as it shows a McLaren right at the end :fp: Got another £10 Xbox voucher through works reward scheme so at least this will only be costing me in the region of £34 now

I could maybe see myself giving it a try with the ten hour trial EA games get when they first release. If this game gets allowed to do that, of course.

They have FIFA on that so can’t see why this wouldn’t get that treatment as well, although I’ve no idea if it’s going to be FIFA this year or not

Wreckfest on Switch has a new date of June 21st. Is priced at £35, with the two season packs being priced at £12 and £10 respectively.

I definitely want to support this, since the Wreckfest handling model is so great. But it depends on how well it's transfered to the Switch.
