I haven't played it in a couple of months :fp:

Will be buying some car and track packs next though to try and properly get in to a series.

It must be nearing an obscene figure to actually have access to all of the content in iRacing, even if someone has been there from day one and just adding constantly to their collection it must be into the thousands to have even a high percentage of the available content.

Again, part of the reason I’m happy to race on console to not give in to the temptation of one more car/track

Driveclub got a 60fps patch 8-)

The framerate holds pretty well at around 50-60fps on pro, shame on the clowns at Sony for shutting the dev and offering no official patch to optimize and lock 60fps.

Patch file for those with exploited PS4s.

Still Sony's best racer

From the infamous target render, through early production to release and onto the birth of a new racing franchise, John Linneman revisits the Motorstorm Saga, from the three main series entries to the various off-shoots across four different PlayStation machines. Plus: see how emulation today makes Motorstorm even better.

Feature trailer for F1 22, except the F1 ‘Life’ side of things it’s looking and sounding quite promising in my opinion.

I think I'll get it on Steam this year as my wheel and chair are now in the office. Streaming from the Xbox is possible, but I don't think you can get 4k from that, even though they're wired to each other through ethernet cables and switches. If I can actually get my Quest 2 working on PC that would be pretty sweet too.

I've been playing a lot of F1 2021 in two player career. We're up to season 5 but not yet won the Championship yet (my mate won S2 by hijacking the lead team's car mid season). I genuinely had my head in my hands last night at one point as I'm now 35pts from the leader with two races to go, caused by my own failings that have included:

binning it under SC from the lead in Canada (trying to cover off an AI pit stop)
Forgetting to change out my practice engine so took an engine penalty to back of grid in Silverstone (finished 3rd, but would have likely won based on my pace - this was a good race)
binning it on the exit of the fake turn 8 in the USA (I still don't know how)

I topped it off by getting a DT in Mexico 3 laps from the end for speeding under VSC because I wasnt paying attention (0.2ths over) and lost the lead to the Championship leader (Gasly in a Merc), turning a 21pt gap to a 35pt gap. Head in my hands!

The game needs a QoL upgrade for quick practice. Having to sit through ten minutes to do 3 practice sessions that are menus, mainly spent in loading screens is not quick. Should be a one and done triple session. We've resorted to turning up the resource point generation and skipping the practices to speed up the loop.

Ideally they should just give an option to skip the various tasks and get 50% R&D points, practice is alright for a handful of races but quickly becomes really repetitive.

With cross play across all platforms coming after launch it’d be neat to have the odd race between players on here if anyone was up for it?

I am utterly terrible but would be interested in some online races. Someone has to take up the Latifi role after all.

I’d say we could set up our own league but I get that people wouldn’t, or might not be able to commit to the same time slot however often (main reason I’ve never joined a league on ACC, not that I’d be any good of course  ).

Once cross play has been implemented (across all platforms) we will definitely have to give it a go! Would be a good laugh.

We could see how things are when cross play has been implemented (as I’ve no idea what platform people are/or might be getting it on) as to how many people are keen, if there’s a viable time slot every couple of weeks etc. i reckon it’d be a lot of fun though!

I’ve also just seen the BTCC game has been delayed to 2024.

Still can't get my Quest 2 working with PC (I've exhausted Meta's customer service suggestions to the point they are now asking me to re-install windows) and that's dented my enthusiasm for getting F1 22 on Day 1. It's pay day tomorrow though so I'm sure I'll give in regardless.
