Time to get the ironing board out. :toot:

Think I might have to get my wheel out at some point, all this racing talk really has me missing it!

Trailer for the next gen update for Assetto Corsa Competizione, captured on PS5,

Looks good, but where I’ve played it (Series X so the One X version) it looks fine anyway, hopefully the next gen patch will increase the frame rate which can still feel a little odd at times. Got the DLC bought and can’t wait to start racing round the other British tracks after this version releases though.

That looks really nice, way above how I can run it on my old PC now.

God I miss driveclub Sunday races :(

I really wish I’d gotten Driveclub in hindsight, looks like it was great.

It was so good. Stil worth picking up on disc to play the single player content. As the servers are dead, all the leaderboards and mid race challenge stuff is gone though.

Online was where it really shone. Not every race was a classic, but out of a few hours on a Sunday, most of the races were good, and there was always a couple of stand out ones.

Any suggestions on a relatively cheap driving wheel stand?

The Playseat Challenge is your best bet.
Check on eBay and sort by closest to your location - the going rate is about £100 second hand.

Failing that, the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand lite is about £100 on Amazon at the moment.
Folds flat for storage, but only if you've got a two pedal set up for the bar to go between brake and accelerator.

The wife has already commented on the size of the box that the wheel and pedals came in so I don't think I'll get away with a bucket seat in the lounge. Three pedals means that stand isn't going to cut the mustard either.

Wheel stand pro is your best bet after a challenge. Folds up quite neatly too.

I wonder if you could do something with a Black and Decker Workmate...

If anyone is near Winchester, there's a guy selling a PS4 Pro, Playseat Challenge, G29 and a bunch of games for £200!

Then, if you only want the Playseat, you can trade everything else in for £284 at cex, and you've got a free Playseat Challenge and made £84 in the process!

If I win this, does anyone want the wheel and pedals from it?

That’s a really good price for the seat alone, never mind the wheel too.

Assetto Corsa Competizione update is out tomorrow, got a few days off from work next week so I’m definitely planning on getting a bit of time back into some of my racing games after a while away from them (wonder why I’m not quick ), really looking forward to trying out the other British tracks on ACC and the Ginetta GT4 car, which is meant to be good fun to drive. I’ll probably try and get on F1 2021 too, it’s good but it’s just lacking something that I can’t but my finger on (past the lacklustre FFB that is).

The wheel isn't for me, but as has been said, it's a good price for the chair alone. Take the wheel to cex and get a bit of cash back.

ACC updated, had a quick go round Silverstone with the Ginetta GT4 on the pad, it obviously loads a lot quicker, looks a little nicer but it already looked quite nice previously on the Series X. From the very brief go I had it feels like the GT4 cars will be a lot of fun, felt very playful on the pad so hoping it’ll translate to the wheel as well.

Just spent 30 mins building a racing stand and sticking the G920 on it. Fired up FH5 and couldn't work out why it was only working on the pedals. Ran out of time so tidied it away (before the missus gets home from work :shifty:) with intention of returning to it later and then realised I'd not connected up the PSU. :fp:

Classic error

Funny thing with a FFB wheel is you forget just how much it's doing, so when there's no power to it, there's strawberry float all resistance or feeling.

GT7 pre ordered digitally today. I'm going to have it on both my ps5 and ps4, with the 4 being used when the Mrs has the ps5.
