I'm presuming it would have to be a PS4 game. I'm basically looking for something to play with my fiancee but she has never played games before so probably needs to be more arcadey than sim.

Kart racers would be your friend, so as Ad mentioned, CTR: Nitro-Fueled and Team Sonic Racing. Then there's other such games like Nickelodeon Kart Racing 2, Mini Motor Racing X, Beach Buggy Racing, Garfield Kart ... :dread: I'd say all you need is CTR: Nitro-Fueled, then if she's enjoying it, you could always get the new Hot Wheels game at the end of September for a different kind of arcade racer.

Found some settings for my G923 on YouTube for WRC 9 and it turns a very good game on a pad into an incredible one on a wheel.

Edit, also done a 50% race on F1 2020 round Spa as Lando Norris, started last and finished 4th and was having a good tussle with Albon for the last 4 laps. Increased a few wheel settings too, to try and give it a bit more weight as it felt really light on the steering when I first loaded it up after Assetto Corsa.

Thanks, for some reason I hadn't considered kart racers but I agree that would be the best bet. CTR looks good. I might hold off a while just in case there's a PS5 upgrade coming.

Another win :toot: I'm on SR:2.96 now (with 3 being promotion) so it cant be more than one clean race away.

Edit: had another race, messed up my qualifying lap and started 8th, was up to 4th and pressuring 3rd with 5 laps to go, when he spun not far in front of me, and I just followed him in to the accident and ripped the front right wheel off. Ended up losing one SR point so I would have been better off not racing at all.

Edit again: Got another pole and win just now, and a licence promotion along with it.

Does the increase in SR stay relatively similar then and it just takes more clean races to move up to the next SR and so on? Or does the increase trail off slightly as you move up through the ranks?

I’ve been playing a bit of F1 2020 again this evening, mainly just failing at time trial laps round Zandvoort :fp: also resisting the urge to spend £40 on F1 2021 when I know it’ll probably be half price come November.

I'm not sure, I'm guessing it will stay in the same increments.

I think I might have been racing against the real Dario Franchitti the other night. I need to go back to my results and replays later to have a look.

Picked up GT Sport on sale and seems alright for the money, but also not quite as great as the 'proper' GT games. I've only done a couple of online races and they were good fun, but the single player feels a bit lifeless. There also seems to be lots of classic tracks missing.

GT sport is firmly in the 'alright' category.

Yeah GT Sport is alright, for myself it was missing the career mode that makes GT such a fun and addictive franchise for me, even then that’s been on the wane since GT4 but looks to be making a return for GT7.

Yes Seattle would be great. I'm sick of real world circuits in gt really, every racing game has them and they cant get away with fantasy courses liike GT can.

Give me Sunday cup with fantasy tracks again.

There’s no reason why the classic GT tracks shouldn’t be in GT 7, it’d be crazy not to as most of them are great.
