Just drop me a PM with your address and I’ll get it sent off when I get chance over the next couple of days, it’s not ideally packed but it seems pretty solid with the couple of bits of cardboard I’ve put in there and hasn’t moved too much when I’ve shook the box

Thanks very much. I'll pm you my address as soon as I'm home from work

I’ll probably just send it standard first class if thats alright for you? I’ll try and get it sent off tonight if I get chance, my local post office shuts around 8 so should have chance.

Sure thing, but there's honestly no rush.

Had an uncharacteristically poor race last night. I don't tend to really make errors in the races, so it was a wtf moment where I didnt brake enough for a tight corner flanked by tyres, and just awkwardly slid in to them and ripped my wheel off. I did see in the options that you can turn displaying of real time track conditions on (marbles, rubber On the racing line etc), which i have off for performance reasons. Makes me wonder if I got on the marbles and I couldnt see them, because it was like being on ice.

I don’t actually think I can hate Monaco on the F1 games anymore than I do then I try it again and I just despise it  To make it easier I’ve turned damage off as even on the highest downforce settings I’m getting under steer and oversteer :fp: I can’t wait till I’ve got the trophy for a 50% race then I can just omit Monaco from the calendar for my second season

Tried the wheel. Works a treat. Assetto Corsa just came alive!

Can't thank you enough, bud. If you're ever in Cheltenham then allow me by you a pint or two. :D

*edit* also tried PCars. Took a few goes to get the right calibration but it's all good now.

Glad to hear it’s arrived safe and sound, plus already seen some use! Enjoy :)

I'll take them up on that offer, even if I am getting the actual release. Although I can see many just trying the trial week and then dropping it.

Holy crap I just had an absolutely incredible race! The closest racing without contact, absolute respect at all times and a photo finish to boot :toot:

I always hated drifting sections in racing games. I could never do them with a pad so if possible I would skip them by in career modes that featured drifting tournaments, but now with a decent wheel I'm a strawberry floating demon on Assetto's drift tracks.

I'm so going to have to get another wheel for my Series S at some point.

Once you've had a decent wheel, there's no going back. Now you're going to be buying better and better kit

I started out with this, just clamped to my old desk. It was pretty basic, but I got the bug for sim racing with gpl and GTR.
Image

Years later, for GT5, when I got my G27, I also got a wheel stand pro (which I still have in the loft)
Image

Then I got my g29, so switched to that
Image

Then I bought a playseat challenge (not my photo)

Then I got a G923 wheel to go on it.

I've spent a strawberry floating fortune!

Add to that my VR pc setup, which I built 99% purely to use on racing games (which is just incredible by the way).

Help

Nice.

Considering how much you use it though, (judging by comments in here), you've certainly got your moneys worth.

Definitely. If I go on a racing game, I'm usually on it for at least a few hours. If I play one at the weekend, 4 hour stints aren't uncommon.

What system are you playing on? I'll reccomend some other games to try out.

Both my nephews (10 and 12) have wheel and chair set ups. They're car mad. I took them to the the Supercar Fest held at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb back in August.

It was an amazing experience, but also depressing as it reminded me just how poor I was

There was this amazing drift car, fully sponsored, that blasted its way through the hill climb with amazing skill and speed. It was even more depressing to discover that the guy driving it was a 15 year old kid!

I'm playing on PC with this wheel. Got it clamped to my rather sturdy PC desk with the pedals comfortably positioned in the alcove below.

You should definitely go next year if it's not too far a journey for you. Some amazing cars there, from classics to modern. And the noise, oh my word the strawberry floating noise!

As for PC racers I also have Dirt Rally which I've not tried with the wheel as yet.
