It'll be expensive, plus you'll have to fork out for the tracks it can run on. Should be the most realistic simulation of an f1 car yet though.

It's got the Turtles van in it. :o

I pre-ordered this the other day for PS5 so it's good to see that it's getting good reviews.

I was playing it all day yesterday as soon as it had unlocked. Very fun racing game indeed. The track creator is brilliant, but discoverability is poor. No way to follow creators, or favourite certain tracks. Just a list of when the tracks were last shared. Same goes for the car liveries as well. Despite that flaw that I hope is getting fixed in an update, everything else is perfect. A great range of easy and harder tracks, AI that can be just as bad as you are on them, and... did I mention there's a photo mode here as well?

Milestone have a history of doing one patch for a game that might fix some of the issues but then nothing else ever again, so I wouldn't necessarily hold your breath.

Lovely. I'll still hold hope for a while, though. Even if none of the reviews are talking about it.

Had a bad neck so needed time off racing, but went back for a couple of races in iracing this weekend.

What an exercise in frustration :x

For some reason, people being lapped just won't get out of the way. I know when you have a car approaching it shows you a blue and yellow striped flag, as in get out of the way, but there seems to be a certain type of racer who just won't do it. I was in 3rd, started my third flying lap and two slow cars joined from the pits on the right. One slotted in in front of me but quite far ahead, and just wouldn't get out of the way. I was so much faster than him that I was having to back off in half the corners, and when I went to one side to go past he just cut across. I finally got past with 2 laps to go in to the final corner, braking off line to do so, and the twat just smacks in to the back of me :x

I finish second from last.

Today's race, I qualified on pole, got a great start so a nice buffer in to the first corner. Stone cold tyres so you need to brake really early and carefully. Nope, straight in to the back of me, putting me last. Then I'm catching the 3 cars in front of me really quickly, go for a legit pass and don't make it so give space, then on the exit of the corner under acceleration, he just brake tests me so I tap him and get a warning. Then he eventually spins in front of me, I drive around and he ever so slightly moves at me so I tap hi with my right rear wheel and get another penalty. Finished 6th in the end, but lost points ffs.

Finally, an authentic online racing experience on iRacing :datass: Hopefully it’s just a blip!

I’ve been away from racing games too this past week, must have pulled a muscle in my back at work so I’ve barely been able to bend much up until today

Just had another race, and just got tapped out of third on the first lap :fp:

Made a good recovery though, and had an epic scrap for 5th with someone, with us nose to tail for 4 laps, it was brilliant.

The race had a current F3 driver competing in it too, a guy called Christian Mansell (no relation).

The time attacks on Hot Wheels Unleashed's City Rumble mode are hard as hell. It took quite a bit of work, but that mode is now 100% complete. Had to employ some of my best driving ever and be as consistent as possible in hitting the right lines. How Milestone expect kids to manage some of those times, I really don't know. With it now complete, my vehicle collection stands at just over half way complete. Um... time to grind the shortest races for 50 coins each to get a blind box worth 500 where it's possible to get duplicates, I guess.

And I still haven't got my Mini. I swear that thing's going to be one of the last vehicles I get.

Did you ever play micro machines V3 back on the PlayStation? It had something similar where you'd get a random prize car at the end of a tournament. Most of the time you'd get some crap duplicates, but every now and then you'd get a rare one. You could also bet a car against your mates, and the winner would take the loser's car, which the game would delete from their memory card.

Honestly, we had so many game rentals for the original Playstation it's difficukt to even remember what games I played on it. But I definitely remember some kind of toy car racer, so it's possible. Sounds like a great system for making the races more interesting.

Gran turismo is so gooseberry fool  I keep seeing footage of their pro racers on Twitter, like it's supposed to be amazing, and they're holding the wheel totally still, yet every car is wobbling on its axis through every corner as the game has got overly aggressive stability management by default. It looks ridiculous and if a car was realy doing that in a corner, 3 of those wobbles would have it swapping ends, not just carrying on like nothing is happening.

Had a great race last night. Qualified 3rd, lost a couple of places after a few corners due to just being overtaken, and had the wildest oversteer moment on cold tyres (first lap and all, after sitting on the grid for a minute and a half). I don't know how the hell I saved it, let alone didn't lose any speed. Had another one at the next corner, just not as bad.

Had a cool battle with 3rd, with me eventually winning out, but the best part is I got 3rd racing full pelt with a few poeple, with no incidents. Turns out they were all A and B licence people, which probably explains the respect of space we all shared.

Well, there's certainly some metrics there to analyse. Just not the ones for the game.

Rush, about the rivalry between James Hint and Niki Lauda, is one of my favourite movies of all time and I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a racing game that captures the pure adrenaline of the races seen in the movie? Doesn't necessarily have to be F1 and obviously it'll be more of an arcade racer than sim. GRiD is the closest I've come across, but there's no weight to the cars and so it all feels a bit floaty.
