For me it’s a no. I’ve worked since I was about 14, worked pretty solidly alongside college and University too, stayed in the same industry sort of as my part time role, got promoted a few times, few differing companies. I’m very driven and good at what I do, but think I got a bit carried away with an earning a wage (not amazing by any means) and progressing to the next level, and the next..
Now I’m probably as high up as I can go without another sidestep into a bigger company but feels like I’ve wasted that degree and really the subject/field I studied and that I was passionate and very good at.
All of my siblings work in and around their degree fields and I feel have a lot of doors open to them. I do enjoy my industry and I am passionate around some of it, but I think the challenge has worn off, and it’s not using me to my best strengths in my eyes. As much as I’d like to dispute, I know I’m replaceable.
A few years ago I did some coding courses but didn’t think it was for me, I’m very adept with IT and stuff but just didn’t enjoy doing that either, note I didn’t study IT at University yo r anything I was just looking at switching it up.
Paid for a small coaching plan over a few months from a recommended job coach via LinkedIn that was a waste of time. (Was supposed to work on how to transfer your skills and experience into other industries).
Thinking about getting a CV reviewer/site to look over mine and see what they can do. Anyway I feel I sound like a massive negative nancy here and I’m not :lol
