It’s easy to see the wet/dry in chase cam (yuck) for that test, or you could put the driving line on, or just put the demonstration ghost on with like a 0.3s offset and follow it.

I think it’s more a weakness of running it with the bumper cam. I don’t have an issue knowing if I’m currently on wet or dry, but the angle is so tight to the ground that I can’t see far enough forward to see where the dry line runs. I do like the test though. It’s like a smack back just when you’re doing well thinking “I could do this in real life, racing’s easy”. A bit of a rude awakening to realise that “oh, right, conditions can be awkward as strawberry float, and visibility can be shite even when it’s clear”

The first big fix for Gran Turismo 7’s launch issues – chiefly its grim grind made all the more unpalatable by the presence of microtransactions – is now live, boosting payouts for campaign and online events and making some other welcome changes along the way.

New events have been introduced, with big races at Le Mans, Sardegna and Tokyo Expressway slotting in alongside other tweaked races towards the end of the campaign that now all deliver bigger payouts. There are new 1 hour endurance events available once you’ve reached Collector Level 23 – all coming under ‘The Human Comedy’ banner, which is rather apt for the discipline – while online events will also now offer bigger payouts. Elsewhere the in-game credit cap has been lifted and more legendary cars will be listed in the auction house at any one time.

And there’s more! Off-road physics, which were a bit waywards, have now been grounded, some graphical tweaks have taken place and plenty more besides – you can see the full rundown of what’s new in Gran Turismo 7 version 1.11 in the extensive patchnotes - https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gt7/new ... 12323.html

So much better credits with some of the races now. Shame I am still only winning the smallest amount of credits on the daily marathon. It's crazy I have never landed on anything other than the smallest credit since launch!

PLAY | Persona 3 Reloaded [3h]

I’ve won one car and then just the smallest prize money

I’m finally back on this today after waiting for the increased earnings to be out.

Got Elden Ring at just the right time so I'm looking forward to getting back into this with the better reward system.

I find the penalty system so unfair, you graze a wall and its a 5 second penalty on a straight where you will lose about 8 seconds. Yet the AI can bash you out of the way and receive nothing. Whats worse is if the bash you into a wall you are the one who gets the penalty.

That takes the piss now, it slowed me down on the penalty, a car than went up the back of me and now my car is strawberry floated. :fp: :x

Seriously though they just strawberry float you up, don’t move out of the way and just follow a set line, surely we are in a place where we deserve more intelligent AI

Gran turismo always has absolute dog gooseberry fool A.I.

Play something like ACC and it's just amazing the gulf in A.I. You actually get raced!

Even F1 2021 has better AI than GT7.

As Ad says, the gulf in quality between this and ACC is amazing, definitely worth buying when it’s on offer.

I'll probably check it out when I'm done with this. Shockingly o haven't yet played a racing game in VR.
