Hmm, I've not really noticed, but then the A.I may as well not exist for most of the race for me - they're just something in the way of my time trial that I turn every race in to.

To illustrate why I give GT so much gooseberry fool both for difficulty and poor racing a.i, check out this race I had on project cars a while back (please excuse the lack of sound, the Nvidia thing stopped recording sound ages ago  )

Notice how fearce the car is? How I'm on the edge of crashing at all points but it's thrilling to do so to be fast. I can actually race the a.i, they overtake you and punish poor driving, you can send dummy moves to put them off, pressure them in to braking a bit late, do undercut overtakes and they'll hang you out to dry in a corner. GT has none of that, it's so strawberry floating sterile, so easy to drive there's no real challenge in it :|

Or take this race (with sound :datass: ), possibly one of my favourite races, again, totally on the edge of strawberry floating up but the a.i is so good to race.

Got gold on all Track Challenges except the final full Nurburgring full lap. Closest I get to the 6:57 is 7:15. Just can’t get close which is annoying considering I’ve got the gold time on all of the sections.
So annoying. Fun though

Keep at it, took me quite a few goes but got there in the end. Use your own ghost as a guideline

The ghost is only available from your same session, it isn’t necessarily your fastest ever time though. As I can only get a limited amount of playtime at a time, I end up setting and beating a new ghost time, but that isn’t always my fastest ever. It’s annoying they can’t sort the ghost issue as it’s affected all challenges

Its been a while, but I'm pretty sure there is a way to load in your own Ghost if you've saved it from a previous session.

Not sure there is. I had to do it over and over in the same sitting. If you use the inside view the ghost can be a major distraction though and can actually put you off

Goes well with the Benny Hill theme tune.

Got my first pole and win today :toot:

I also made a mount for my gear stick as the playseat challenge has nowhere to put one. I took the mount from my old wheel stand PRO and attached it to some wood, then clamped that to the wheel. Works a treat and is in a comfortable spot for shifting. Now I know it works I'll spray it black with the leftover paint from my arcade machine.

I was genuinely surprised to read that Catalunya hasn't been in any GT before this. Also a decent mix of cars, all added to the game without having to pay extra. :datass:

I bought the Lewis Hamilton dlc for this, as I love a bit of time trial and who better to try to beat?

After my first laps. Oh. Oh gooseberry fool :dread:

So damn close to beating his time on this track. I've realised I've got to be more complete and use all the tools at my disposal, which means having to adjust brake balance throughout the lap.

I'd have had it if I didn't screw up the last corner :x

Yeah, I. noticed this and - whilst I don't have the game - it's increasingly worrying how online-focused games are getting pretty routinely closed down. GT is a huge franchise on an extremely popular console and yet even that gets turned off.

I'm finding that, over the past few months, I'm getting increasingly pissed off with (most of) gaming.

Snort! Harrumph!

I guess they assume (or maybe have data that backs up) the majority of people interested in GT Sport have migrated over to GT7? Feels like that will be supported for a lot of the PS5's lifespan and is also out on PS4 to replace GT Sport for those users too. Not ideal, but can see why they'd focus on the online for their more current game rather than one that is 7 years old now?

With you on that. If capitalism created gaming, one thing is certain, it's now strawberry floating ruining it.
