Looked disappointing, like something from 2013 - which it is!

The best way they could sell the PS5 port is with a comparison video against PS3 and PS4 of load times.

Yeah, that was mentioned in the vid and it seems to be one of the few real changes. I've seen Dark Rula stream the Xbox One version GTA on his Xbox Series S and it was really neat; the PS5 version just seemed to be pretty much the same. I'd thought we'd be seeing the kinda graphics shown in PC mods over the past few years.

I think the obvious thing to note is that it does indeed look almost identical to what we already have. Unless there's a wealth of new features they're keeping hidden for some reason, it's just not worth it. I have hoped they would do more, but I guess the only way to make it look better is to improve the models and textures. But why would they do that?

As for the delay... This is starting to feel like LEGO The Skywalker Saga all over again, except this isn't even a new game.

Could have at least put out the trailer in 60fps.

and the fact that trailer has also used the same clips from the original trailer as well, the hype for this is not as big as Rockstar think it is even with the shitty GTA Online feature. Sure if they want to please the noobs who are giving them cash cool have a seperate team focused just for while the rest work on GT6 and a brand new original game. GTA 5 is flogging a dead horse now people are getting fed up with its cash cow milking and want something new.

People who have been fans since GTA 3 onwards are losing any trust and faith with Rockstar and this whole GTA 5 saga no new DLC content for single player etc.

I can only think they make so much money on GTA online that they wanted to continue it. I see no real reason to pick this up to be fair just looks the same minus a few graphical differences. Bring out a new GTA Rockstar!

Just read this quote

Commenting on the next-gen versions of GTA V in March, the CEO of Rockstar parent company Take-Two said he was confident the remaster would deliver a strong experience for players.

“We’ve done great with the Mafia series, for example, and Grand Theft Auto [V] is now heading into its third generation which is incredible”, said Strauss Zelnick.

“It was a standard-bearer when it was launched, it continued to be the standard-bearer in the second generation, we’ll see how Grand Theft Auto does in the next generation. Obviously, I’m confident that Rockstar is going to deliver just a great experience, but you can’t do that if you’re just doing a simple port.”

Differences those Mafia games are older and got rebuilt completely this clearly has not and its a port of PS3 game from PS4 to PS5. Modders have added more to GTA 5 since its release and done major overhauls of the entire game scenery weather cars etc

There are some vague rumours that the GTA V vid shown in the PlayStation showcase included a couple of brief instances of VR; such as the in-car first-person sequence. Some folk feel that the visual movement at these spots reflects a VR headset rather than a controller movement.

I can kinda understand this but I'd be surprised if the upcoming new gen version included VR... although, then again, that could explain why they've kept the older-styled visuals.

Not to quibble, but Mafia 1 was the only one that got remade - 2 is a terrible attempt that looks and runs poorly, no effort at all, and 3 still regularly crashes years after release, virtually unplayable.
Just saying :shifty:

I'm not bothered about it to be honest. I've Platinumed on both versions (PS3/4) so I won't get it.

I'm more interested about GTA 20th anniversary and the next GTA VI.

NaturalVision Evolved is such a promising looking mod for the game. The character models just look so out of place with it, though.

I dont remember having any particular problems with Mafia III, but maybe I overlooked them because it was free with PS Plus and had a great time playing it in general

They’ve had a shocker with that reveal trailer. Gave it the the hype and then dropped that. The mod community has done incredible things with GTA V but it looks as though rockstar just couldn’t be arsed or don’t care to engage, or at the very least target some of the improvements they have made.

Might be a console thing - my experience was on Xbox. I was enjoying it apart from the constant crashing, a shame.

Thing is though apart from fanbase who are obsessed with GTA Online the rest of the GTA fanbase are keen to play and see them get on with releasing a new GTA but they pandering too noobs on GTA Online.

They really should of showed some of the new features instead some re-used shots in the trailer which reveal nothing of the new supposed updates and features
