Thanks to my buddy! My stuff arrived and I've now got to try and find an easy way of disposing of all these packing peanut things. The only one I've even heard of out of the lot is Thatchers so I'm very much looking forward to trying everything.

Sorry to Errkal for getting you some of the most generic stuff possible. I'll try and be a little bit more adventurous next time. :fp:

Hahaha it's cool, beers and ciders isn't something you know so it's cool :D

Inwas thinking i may add some good online stores i use in the OP of the next one to try and help with people finding new stuff if they want to use it or want to see what's about sort of thing.
May also steal the idea of the poke from Secret Santa where a buddy can via the organiser send a poke to their buddy to find out more of what they like etc.

Steady on for a bit! :slol:

I started with this one.

It was quite good. Great aroma and just a little bit bitter for an IPA.

-------------------------------------

This one was next

Image

and I strawberry floating loved it. My favourite by far. Similar enough to the first one but less bitter & more fruity and a nice aftertaste. Didn't actually taste like an IPA at all given how fruity it was. Great aroma off it, too.

-------------------------------------

Now this one....

Image

..was one of the most rancid things I've ever tasted. I'm sorry Errkal, but where did you find this stuff? It smelled amazing actually, but the aftertaste it left was like someone had taken a gooseberry fool in your mouth. I only got halfway through it before it went down the drain. I swear that the taste of it is still in my mouth 12 hours later. I don't even know what the beer is called, it had no name on it (unless that sentence on the can is the name somehow)

-------------------------------------
Last one was this (which I forgot to take a picture of)

Image

which was similar to the first one (same brewer) but slightly more bitter. It was ok, but I think any enjoyment I got out of it was tarnished by the gooseberry fool that came before.

I drank them all while watching True Lies

They are America IPA rather than the English IPA so they are super hopped, tend to be very bitter and fruity. :D

See I don't think that would be a good idea, i signed up to this because I wanted to try new beers not just have someone buy me drinks I already drink.

I wouldn't get them to give enames, but styles they enjoy or flavours or whatever.

It was just that one can I didn't like, tbf. The second one was godly. I'm not a big fan of extremely bitter IPA's, it seems.

Did you try any of the stuff I sent? That German one is one of my favourites. It's very wheaty so it's to an acquired taste I guess, but I love the stuff. The rest I mostly chose based on their descriptions and I tried to pick lots of different kinds of beer, including one cider I think. There's one there from Chile which I was tempted to get for myself because it sounded amazing on paper at least.

JackHammer is one of the most bitter ipas out here. It would be another quality, the ruination is a double IPA so is slightly more matly and bitter instead of just hoppy bitter, the Cali is a sort of Belgian IPA cross breed so could be the Belgian style there that is throwing you, I've not had the resotrative but could be something there.

But yeah I'm pretty sure the JackHammer is the highest IBU amongst them so the most bitter.

I drunk four last night, the chili beer was nice but was very overpowering, could only drink half of it before it started to give me heartburn. Tubrog was very refreshing as was the Cusquena and the cherry flavoured beer was lovely with a great after taste. Will try another couple tonight!

Good to know! Looking forward to read what you think of the wheat beer. I don't know anyone else that likes it.

Cheers Falsey! Nice selection. Only tried the Rattler Cider out of them.

Just in the process of sorting our back garden out atm so these will go down nicely when the weather picks up. :datass:

How do I post a picture of my phone?

I've now tried the Honey dew and the St Peters cider, both were nice, the cider was excellent and the beer went down really well. Sadly only two left now will have them during the week.
