Onions are incredible in most cases but can be horrible if they aren't cooked properly or in way that suits the dish they're in/served with.

I suspect that people who hate onions have had them badly cooked or inappropriately prepared.

Onions are great, particularly red onions.

Toffee onions for Hallowe'en. Like toffee apples. But onions.

So far 86% of GRcade members are utterly vile freaks. But I guess we already knew that.

Red onions are better but onions are a base ingredient of like 90% of all dishes. What do you eat if you don't like onions?

Onions are great, but I only liked cooked onions, I'm not a fan of raw ones.

I used to just avoid recipes with onions, drop onion from recipes if I was cooking or, when I was particularly fussy, pick the onion out of whatever I was eating. I'm not particularly fussy these days but when I cook it's usually recipes without onion, more because the recipe doesn't require them than actively avoiding them. Generally I'm pretty neutral about them these days, I can happily take or leave them.

I love pretty much everything in the onion family. White, red, shallots, spring onions... all part of my weekly shop. 50% of my meals will have onions in them.

I don’t really get how much anyone can dislike onions. It’s like disliking cucumber, the flavour is so inoffensive and the texture is lovely. Unless they’re caramelised and then it’s a whole new level of lovely.

Cucumber is strawberry floating horrible, it has this strange watery snotty taste and texture, plus it makes bread soggy.

Cucumber sandwiches are awesome, but they aren't a good one to make in advance because of the soggy factor

Like every dish has onion as part of its base, of course I like onions
