Green. With my limited knowledge they were the least bad option.

Lib Dem for me. Torn between them and the Green party, but feel a Lib Dem vote will be more valuable.

Bollocks to Brexit!

At the 2017 GE, in the morning there is usually a queue almost out the door. Couldn't see it when I peered in. When I voted this evening, there were 2 people in front of me, who were at the wrong polling station, there were also no polling agents.

I also live in one of the most remainy areas of the country, so not great on that front.

I wonder if good weather will mean a high youth turnout. I’m really clutching at straws to find positive outcomes :shifty:

Did you not have Change UK?

Just voted Lib Dem. Hopefully drive Labour into 3rd (ideally 4th behind Greens but then ideally 3rd again ahead of BXP)

I wouldn't vote for Change UK even if you paid me. They're a bunch of tories who are trying to distance themselves to save face as they realise the far right of their party took over.

Who'd you go for in the end?

Green. Wasn't the 100% rational choice in this constituency, I guess, but it felt right voting for a party I believe in.

I do honestly believe there could be a Green surge, I overheard someone chatting to his partner on the way out of the polling station saying he'd voted Green as well, so there are at least two of us down this way!

Voted labour even though green suits me better. I don't think the green party has much clout in Wales. PC don't really appeal to me. strawberry float the tories, UKIP & BP. Lib Dems will never have my vote. Change UK lmao the strawberry float out of here.

Labour, what the strawberry float else was I gonna vote for lol. Half of the ballot was UKIP (fascist youtuber!), brexit (racists, no youtuber), english democratic party (old school racists), independents (crazy racists), lib dems (we put the racists in power)

Greens were the next closest party to getting an MEP at the last EU elections in Wales so I plumped for them this time on that basis.

This was my first time voting after moving back to Wales and I'm at a different polling station to when I was last here so I've got nothing to compare it to but the polling station was pretty bust when I went along this evening - saw about 10 people who had been and were leaving as I walked over, about 5 people were in voting at the same time as me, and there were more arriving as I left.

I and my partner voted Green. Looking at those MEP statistics and policy quiz helped. Policy-wise I'm neck and neck with Labour and Green, and Lib dems don't seem to show up anywhere because I think they only have one MEP?

Green seem t work hard in EU government, actually table motions, pose questions and don't just do lots of rabbeting speeches (I love how there's one UKIP member with a score of 0 when the highest score is around 96 ). I don't feel I can vote Labour in this election due to a mixture of the past and Corbyn's wishy washy stance on Europe, even though they have a really impressive track record in European parliament. They did spearhead the move towards banning single-use plastics for example, something the EU seem to actually be in favour for, not that it'll necessarily affect us anymore... Meaning their talking points do get anywhere in EU parliament.

I feel a bit like Lib dems are just gunning against the 2 party system; although I agree with their policies pretty much 100%, there are already green MEPs who have done the work, so they do actually have a track record here (what with everyone saying they're not fit for government and have no experience etc. etc.) There has also been a strong surge in town and district counsellors in my constituency making Greens the 2nd biggest party besides Conservative, so while they don't really compete on a national level, they are able to make a difference in the smaller elections.

(I voted lib dem last GE and the swing was only 1000 votes in Conservative's favour. My MP doesn't even live here and ALWAYS votes along party lines, which I see as pretty pathetic.)

When it comes to europe, Labour seem to want to appeal to everyone by sitting on the fence, yet by doing so, they've appealed to no one.

You could call it sitting on the fence, or you could say they're trying to find a compromise. Based on voting patterns in the recent indicative votes; Labour do indeed seem to be the party trying to find some sort of middle ground. However, you are right, their stance is gaining little traction. I really have no clue how we're going to break the Brexit deadlock, the country is so divided. The local elections seem to indicate an appetite for remain and the polls for the European elections seem to indicate the exact opposite. The whole thing is so strawberry floating depressing.

Based on the above hoping beyond hope for some insane turnaround from the polls where the Lib Dems are in the 20s the Greens in the teens and BXP fall below 30.

The only hope is that the BXP supporters were overconfident and didn’t turn out.

I don’t think that’ll be the case though.

Yep, 10pm, when the last polls close on the continent.

(People can still put in how they voted after that -- it'll revert back to being a normal forum poll.)

One thing that could be an effect is that the kind of person who tells a pollster "Yeah!!! I'm gonna vote for Farage!!! He's just a normal bloke like me!!!" is also the kind of person who won't be arsed on the day. We haven't really had anything like the Brexit Party before - UKIP operated really differently and in a very different landscape - so the polls might not account for that very well and really anything could happen.

I'm not saying that's likely though, I fully expect BXP to have the largest share of the vote, but it's possible and worth crossing your fingers for I guess!
