You should also check out the post fight press conference.
The full thing or the main card? I thought the main card sucked personally.
I personally think if you thought that main card sucked then there's something wrong with you.
On some of the fights themselves - Gunnar Nelson reminds me of Fedor. Like I used to think Cain was the next Fedor, but really it's Gunnar. From his demeanor, down to his ground technique and submission efficiency. The Lawler/Rory MacDonald fight for me didn't really get going until round 3/4, Then it turned into a real brawl, with Rory unleashing into beast mode with awesome combinations and elbow strikes. Good fight overall. Main event was fun too. Unsurprisingly Mendes easily got Conor down and was able to land some decent shots from the guard but the body shots and precision ranged strikes from Conor wore him down in the stand up. Conor honestly has the best chin p4p. What I enjoy most about him is his fluidity in movement and how he kind of throws his long punches with seemingly minimal power, like they seem graceful in similar fashion to nick diaz actually, same with the kicks. However they are heavy and land hard and that's how him punishes his opponents, precision, speed and timing. He got handled on the ground though, needs to work on his take down defense and ground game. I think he beats Aldo, more confident too as it will be a stand up fight.
Overall a solid main card and also would like to say that I thought the production was spot on, the UFC has moved into its next era with Reebok. Very professional execution. Only thing I didn't like much was the intro music for the PPV, liked the original version of face the pain better. Having the video footage focus on the fighters ofc the event was a good idea though. UFC's previous PPV montage video was too much like a video game.
