Are we avoiding anything picked in previous Film Clubs? If so, there a list?

I don’t think there’s a necessity to avoid anything, but if you want to check I believe the threads are archived.

Her 'performance' in A Dangerous Method was truly something else!

I've watched it! Have written some thoughts down and will post them when I can in a day or so. We'll choose the next person in a couple of days. :D

Yeah. keep going. I haven't managed to fit in a time to watch it with the missus or I'd have watched it already.

Sorry, totally missed that a film had been suggested. Will get it watched by the weekend.

I think this is well worth watching if anyone is still considering it, not least because I think more people should know the underlying facts behind the film but also because it is very good.

It is a very compelling film with a great cast and performances, especially Kiera Knightley who I'm not usually a huge fan of. The pacing was spot on and having read into its' accuracy (which I always have to do with these types of films), it seems it is pretty true to real life events. In fact, the worst thing about the film is how it is all true....

9/10 for me.

I'm in the same boat as Pedz on this one - both myself and the wife want to watch it but we just haven't found the time yet. I'll try and get it watched ASAP!

Yes, absolutely. I'm a bit swamped recently unfortunately trying to juggle work and start streaming more regularly, but we can move into some sort of revolving choice for the movies I think. I have actually watched this and keep forgetting to post my thoughts. :fp:

I know Coras thoughts.

The film is alright, but it ain't as fun as Among Us or as Campy fun as Resident Evil. Boom.

Official Secrets - 6/10
A solid, well acted and very earnest adaptation of an important story; and, while it kept my interest simmering, it never really earns its cinematic stripes. Its rather dry and unflashy story feels better suited for the documentary format.

Official Secrets - 7/10

I enjoyed the film and was interested throughout. It can't remember anything about it happening at the time so it was likely why I was interested. Thanks for the choice though as I likely never would have watched it.
