I know that feel bro.

Its been hard I won't lie, but I did a few things. Worked on Tony the Tiger commercials, did a animated museum tour, and started working at Framestore. It was only when they started handing out the P45s at the company that I had a complete re-evaluation.

Made a short film for my first year Scriptwriting module. Decent fun. Filmed on two Canon 60D's at 1080p with a Maranz recorder hooked up to a Rode mic for audio. Few different lenses used, can't remember specifics, 50mm and 24mm were definitely used though. Amazing how much difference some basic lighting (reflectors) and a nice camera made to the look of the film. Looked far more professional than we expected.

Exactly what I'm hoping to do.

Anyone here had any experience with Glidecams? I want to do a few moving shots with a DSLR but not sure whether I should go with a simple rig or one of these.

Folks! Bought the D600 and messed around with it, Premiere and some grading at the weekend. Basic stuff, feedback welcome.

Quality is nice and crisp man! congrats. Loved the dancing sax man! :P

A bit dark in places and the ISO could have done with being bumped up a bit in a few parts, that's my only bit of criticism - but good framing all around- particularly love the shot @ 3.55

Thanks! And yes, the darkness was exaggerated a little too much in post. But kind words. Wouldn't mind having a crack at something with a narrative next and messing around with indoor lighting.

Still, relieved that it came out as well as it did. Some of the shots we're really sharp, and I was taking a gamble choosing Nikon for video.
