Can you livestream from PS4 Pro or Xbox One X in 4K on YouTube will this be possible with next gen consoles?
Also, what upload speed do you need to stream in 4K?

Neither current-gen console let's you stream 4k. Twitch doesn't support 4k streaming at all but YouTube does. I don't think much is known about streaming on next-gen consoles but from the sounds of things it'll be pretty much the same as it is currently.

I think you'd probably need about 15Mbps at least for streaming 4K.

Okay, cool. If YouTube offers it then it would makes sense for the next-gen consoles to have it especially as internet speeds improve over the generation.

Edit: Let me add to this. Apparently, livestreaming games in 4K is not practical if you like to engage and respond to chat messages because there can be a 1.5m-2 minutes delay in what you say and what viewers see and hear.

Streaming the last part of my Mega Drive Sonic odyssey with Sonic and Knuckles tonight after the Celtic game - www.twitch.tv/retrocora

Will then be doing a stream on Rock Band/Twitch Sings with the mrs on Saturday, dressed as Randy Savage. A large package of Aussie food arrived today so we'll be eating our way through that as well! Saturday at 6pm.

Always fun to hear karaoke type stuff so might tune in for that one before I finish Sunshine on stream.

And don't forget tonight at 8 I'll be playing Watch Dogs Legion for the first time, exploring London while reminiscing about the two times I've been to London.

It's unfortunate I can't cut these streams down into videos at the minute, but even after my ears stop hurting from the wax buildup, I'm unlikely to have my earphones in for any sort of period. Maybe I could ask here if there's any earphones that slot over the ears rather go in them or cover them completely.

@Devlin just to let you know I decided to stream as my VRChat avatar as I thought it'd be fun. Pretty much everyone on VRChat uses either cute girl avatars or some real cursed gooseberry fool like a weird Mike Wazowski/Shrek hybrid and I sit on the cute side of things as cute things are cute.

It was fun, just unexpected. Tuned into your STPL stream and there you were as this anime girl singing in Japanese.

Frustratingly couldn't stream at all tonight due to a couple of external issues but I will be back hopefully tomorrow, and definitely on Saturday for what's already being called the greatest food related stream of 2020.

TONIGHT I finally start my much talked about attempt to playthrough Resident Evil on the Saturn!

Got it back from being modded and I'm ready to go!
