Not wanting to count my chickens before they’ve hatched but I might finally be able to stream properly now. My landlord appears to have upgraded the internet connection in my house.

I just streamed Shovel Knight for around 30 mins on PS4 and according to my test subject (my brother) there were no issues.

Well, I forgotted to do my RPG Maker stream yesterday. So, I will do it tonight around 9. I had a lot of fun last time making up gooseberry fool and making an awful game with the viewers.

I’ll be attempting to Stream some SNES/Super Famicom games around 18:00. Initially I’ll be playing UFO Kamen Yakisoban but if anybody wants me to play owt specific let me know, assuming anybody is around and it works that is.

I want to give streaming and content creation an honest try using original modern and retro games hardware. What is the best budget capture option for someone who wants to dip their toes into this stuff before hard committing to it?

Might be streaming a little this afternoon, either Horizon Chase Turbo or more Borderlands 2 while polishing off the remainder of last nights beer.

EDIT: Bit of hiccup today as my PS+ expired mid stream. Apologies if I’m not being very chatty when I stream, this is still all new to me and I'm a bit shy :oops:

I pretty much only stream modern games via capture card, and I use the Elgato HD 60 S which I got on Black Friday sale last year for £100. Used to use my friend's Elgato HD 60, but the S is much more 1:1 in terms of real time capturing. But there are ways to delay your webcam/reactions etc. to match a delayed capture card. So if you're not fussed about FPS or slight delay, you can pretty much just go for the bare minimum. So a budget of around £50 for a capturing device sounds about right to me. Maybe wait for black friday deals.
