The other issue is signing in. To stream on the GRcade Twitch channel you'll get an email for a guest stream key which you'll manually enter into OBS Studio and other streaming programs. Last time I looked you have to link your PS4's twitch directly to the channel's account. It's doable in that you'd need the person with the GRcade account details to tell you the code to sign in on PS4 and then when you are done on PS4 sign out. We did it before with The Doom Spoon, so we can do it again, it's just a little more fiddly than switching profile  . Overlays aren't too much of an issue, tbh. The bot will be on to post GRcade links into the chat and I think plugging the forum at the start and the end will be enough. I tend to do that myself unless someone asks about the channel during the stream.

I liked this video for anyone interested in audio stuff. I think I need to change mine a little from this as my voice is different pitched to this guys, but it's a good starting point IMO.

I've got that running currently so will see what comes from it.

As for being a host on the GRcade channel, I'll see some time soon when I'm happy with my set up.

Hope the video helps, it made a difference for me. When it comes to the GRcade channel I know you do GTAV streams, so you could do a, for example, a GTA Online Roleplay Stream with a character specifically for the GRcade stream once a week. Or whatever the hell you want

The channel will hopefully grow and get people signing up to GRcade via it, it did actually do it in the past when the channel was busy.

I only say 1 day a week, not because I want to limit people, but I think 1 day for a couple of hours is not going to impact on everyone's individual channels growth. I think it would actually help others, as I watch a retro community channel and it helps the individuals out with their growth as people tune into the big retro channel enjoy the individual and then watch them there too.

The video has given me a good idea of what I'd be doing when setting the enhancements up, and if I need a reminder I know where to look.

When I join with the GR channel, I'll certainly see about playing GTA Online for it. There's a lot of races I can enjoy - even with just the Rockstar created stuff. Could even get others joining so it goes beyond races. I'm sure it'll certainly help with channel growth if more of us became part of it to offer our brand of entertainment for it.

This is my thought, variation will be a great benefit to the channel. You'll get a varity of people streaming with various games, so people get to watch different games and get to see people with different personalities on a regular basis.

They can take up to 14 days (may be 10,) but they usually take a couple at most.

Yeah well done Maf! Just realised I'm not following you either :fp: Will fix that ASAP!

Was going to do some streaming last night but spent most of the time just faffing around with my setup.

My $15 USB capture card seems to work okay, there's a bit of audio lag which is a tad annoying but for the price I can't really be too disappointed. Going to try and stream some Mario Sunshine tonight, so tune in if you want to see me getting pissed off at the latest gooseberry fool it tries to pull!

Will do mate, just followed you in anticipation.

Streaming Resident Evil 4 at 7.30pm - hoping to see the game through to completion tonight and then maybe move on to Revelations afterward.

Also hoping to spend a bit of time this week on stuff like effects and things like requests, a big list of games I own etc. I have absolutely no idea how to build a following on Twitch and though I'm glad to have almost 60 followers after only about six weeks of streaming, I'd like to kick on while there's a bit of momentum. :D

EDIT: I'm thinking of making all my sound effects for events the merchant from Resident Evil 4. Think it'd be hilarious. Follow - "WELCOME!" Subscribe - "A WISE CHOICE, STRANGER!" etc. :slol:

Haha, the merchant would be a very good choice for those!

I've figured out how to put sound effects in there now so if you type in !ass and are a subscriber you'll get a lovely surprise.

Sounds intriguing!

I've ignored the world of sound effects, bots and anything vaguely involved at this point. If I ever get to the point of streaming more regularly I might start to look into it in more detail!

I've customised the notification GIFs for followers, subscribers, raids etc on Streamlabs but that's about it so far.

Same here, I’m enjoying the streamlabs chatbot that I’ve downloaded though. I’ve added a list of all the games I own so people can request stuff and am just trying to figure out how to add rewards for the dollarydoos people earn, them I’m going live with Resi 4.

EDIT: For 10,000 dollarydoos my wife has offered to stream a game of my choice. Game no. 1 will be Among Us if it's ever redeemed

I've got some good results messing around with the audio enhancements from that video, and I'm ready to get into some GTA V for another streamlist to test it out. I also have the Streamlabs loyalty thing active, so hopefully that's working as well.

Come join me.

Well, I have said before I'm oblivious to the obvious, and I can't believe I didn't check this throughout my setup. Since I've swapped from Streamlabs to OBS Project to take advantage of those audio enhancements and multiple profiles, all of my settings were going to be default. So, what's the one thing I would have forgot to check, that should have been turned off straight away? Yeah, desktop audio. Since I was listening to my audio through OBS (something I'm sure Streamlabs never had) it was causing an echo with my voice. And then when I swapped to checking how things were on the stream, it created a nice infinite wave effect as everything I'd said got merged on top of what I was currently saying owing to the larger gap between my speaking and the stream.

Desktop audio is now muted, so that should never be a problem. I'm saw jawa can account for how funny/annoying that was. And now I'm listening, I'm surprised I still had people watching. My poor ears!

The audio I'm getting through the microphone is a lot better thanks to those enhancements, though, but I still need to apply that audio gate one.

Hee, yeah, it certainly was an interesting aural experience, Rula :-) . But, hey, the GTA "climb up to the sky" action was neat!
