I think everyone has streamed at least once without realising that something wasn't working right!

Now I always do a quick local recording of my stream before going live so that I can listen back and check that everything is working right - even if I've not changed anything since the last time!

Hee, yeah, it certainly was an interesting aural experience, Rula . But, hey, the GTA "climb up to the sky" action was neat!

Yeah, the parkour stuff, such as the climb into the sky from last night, are great tests of skill, so I always try to include one on each streamlist. I need to have a look for some new ones, since I think I've gone through the entirety of those currently bookmarked.

I always check the quality of audio and stuff during the Starting Soon part of my streams, but because I'd discovered I could listen to my audio without having my stream active thanks to OBS, I never activated the audio of my stream. On watching back, I also found the first three minutes of streaming had picked up not only my microphone before I remembered to mute it, but the audio of another stream I was watching before I turned that stream off.

Everything should be fine for Farming Simulator tomorrow, though, and I'll make sure to check everything before properly starting.

I always have the stream manager on Twitch open so I can see how the stream looks and sounds.

Yeah, I have that open at all times, too. I'd just forgot to use it to start with, and then when I did unmute the audio on it to listen in, that's when the infinite wave effect started up and I was at a loss for what was happening. I just turned off the microphone monitoring on OBS and muted the stream manager audio until the end, then realised that I hadn't muted the desktop audio and all the issues I'd had became clear.

My internet can't cope with streaming and monitoring the stream at the same time so I have to just fly blind once I start! :lol:

I've been sat chatting away to myself for a good 10-15 minutes before someone pointed out I was muted. I also occasionally forget to mute my mic while I'm BRBing. This usually isn't an issue but it did lead to the broadcast of my victory piss after killing Smough and Ornstein.

I still dream of such a moment, Cumberdanes! Uhm... defeating S&O rather than your particular celebration, of course.

Defeating little and large definitely deserves a victory piss to be fair!

Yeah unless you are playing your mic back through the desktop audio in the first place I don't see why you would need to mute it? And I don't see why you would be playing your own mic back to yourself?

Well, if there's no audio that's needed from the desktop, it just makes sense to keep it muted. Avoids any sounds that might pop up from getting on stream.

I have sfxs and stuff and stream PC games. Even still I.dont get why you would have an echo.

Really have no idea. All I know is that when no audio was playing from the desktop, everything was fine.

It was being weird for a while before that. Only got it in January, opened up the bottom and the bit that locks the reclining mechanism in place was this shitty bit of plastic. Surprise, surprise Ikea didn't have stock of the same one in store and were quoting November 25th for a replacement being sent out so it's just getting strawberry floated off for a refund.

Got a new chair ordered for elsewhere.

Ah, that's not good. Hopefully that new chair arrives fast.

btw apparently they've changed raid notifications so that they only happen if you're raiding with at least 5 people now.
