After a bit of a hiatus I'm back streaming again. I returned to my project of streaming all mainline Final Fantasy games with an impromptu couple of hours on Final Fantasy IV last night. I should be live with FF4 for a few hours again this evening, from around 19:00 depending what time I get home from work.

Speaking of Final Fantasy, I may stream a bit more FFVIII around 5pmish, after spending far too much time wandering around the desert prison yesterday :lol:

Gotta love the desert prison, whose heart doesn't leap for joy at going up and down the same bloody screens multiple times! :toot:

Going live in a few minutes, but sadly without my Lagatar as it just causes CPU issues on my poor Laptop (Because of my Overlays OBS is already grabbing 80-90% when I'm on a Stream Starting/Stream Ending scene, so it means when I switch to gaming stream it goes a bit screwy).
Might see if it works a bit better if I only launch it after I switch to the game stream though, where CPU usage from OBS drops dramatically.

Have you tried running OBS in administrator mode?

I hadn't, but have just given it a test and sadly it's still quite a hog and between OBS and vDRAW my CPU maxes out. I've found I can at least avoid issues if I don't launch vDRAW until after I switch to my actual game capture scene though where the OBS CPU usage drops down to around 20-30%.

I suspect it's just the age of the CPU. It's an i7-6700HQ in a 5 year old laptop.

Fair play mate. For what it’s worth, my brother caught COVID last week(his current rotation is an infectious disease ward, it was inevitable :dread:

) and he has recovered pretty well. Chucking out a stream or two might actually take your mind off it.
