Found myself with a bit of free time this morning so going to have a quick stream of some more Dark Souls action:

I was just going to say that people who watch the GRcadeUK channel, if you can do clips when watching and something funny, or really good happens that'd be great. I do occasional clips for my channel and if we get enough clips from the GRcade streams (we should get more streams as more people take part) then I can make a clip video for GRcade too, which will also have the url for the people in the clips, so it'll hopefully help get more views on the Twitch and Youtube channels and hopefully have a side effect that will get people checking out the people who stream on GRcadeuk.

Clips can also be made when watching back streams, so that's a good way of getting some early clips together.

Good luck with the PS5 arriving. I was meant to be streaming a request stream for Kriken tomorrow but I've made a banana split of it and now have to write a 3,000 word essay about "leadership in higher education" between 2pm and midnight so strawberry float knows if that'll go ahead.

Same. Not that I have a PS5 as I can't strawberry floating get one. Right pain in the arsenal same with the X-Series. strawberry floating shambles.

So question for people using an Elgato to capture and stream their console games via OBS.

In order for me to use my 3.5mm headset to capture both my microphone input and output the game audio to me, I need to get something like the Elgato Chat Link cable don't I? Connect one end of it to the audio out in my controller, the other male end to the Elgato, then plug my headset into the female port? That way audio capture is streamed to my PC with the delay, but to my headset without the delay? And both game audio and my Microphone are captured/streamed to the Elgato capture source in OBS?
That seems to be one of the only ways to both capture and hear the game audio. The only other way I found was to set OBS to both Monitor and Output the Elgato Audio stream with the headset connected to my PC, but that then results in the audio in my headset being delayed compared to the video on my TV.

The issue with that though seems to be that I lose the ability to differentiate between game audio and microphone audio levels, so both the game audio and my microphone would be at the same level. Only way around that seems to be to have a separate microphone connected to my PC to capture that? So I basically need a separate headset and Microphone?

The other option is to just turn up the volume on the TV of course, but then that leads to the microphone capturing the game audio as well.

I just dealt with the slight delay. One thing you can do if you are simply streaming is add slight delay to your voice in OBS itself and yeah, I used a mic on the PC itself. I didn't even know about doing it the way you described

I'm sure the delay would just really annoy me, like insanely so.

No idea how I'd even setup for streaming with a Nintendo Switch actually now I think about it if I wanted to hear the game audio without a delay.

I have my TV loud enough to hear it, but ot loud enough it gets picked up on the PC mic. When I play a console game I don't have headphones on for the PC cause imo, there's no point. I only have headphones on when playing PC games.

With my surround sound system I might have problems with a microphone trying not to pick up audio

Surely you can set up the mic so it picks up your voice and doesn't pick up things that are quieter and just make sure your sound is quite than your voice?
