The big takeaway from that earnings leak is “don’t bother”.
Less than 1000 people on the whole platform earn $1k a month before tax. I looked at one of the ones at the bottom end of that scale. 25 thousand followers.
Waste of time trying to make a career of it.

I think a lot of them use Twitch to build the audience, but they use it to get other revenue streams as well through sponsorships, kofi, merchandise and other stuff.
But yeah, it was always a tiny subset of a tiny subset that were ever going to make a decent amount from it.
