The state of your character
What were you using to stream it? For some weird reason your stream wouldn’t work properly in the PS4 app, there was audio but just a black screen and it wouldn’t work on my Chromecast casting from the app on my phone or from Chrome either. Weird.

I’ll probably stream a little more Dragon Quest XI this evening, tentatively 9-10 depending on when I get done cooking and eating my tea.
Anyhoo, if anybody wants to join me you’re more than welcome.

Only caught a short bit of your AP stream Taf but it was fun to watch.

That's odd. Was using OBS, pretty standard. I've no idea how all this stuff works really, but I didn't change anything super specific. I was broadcasting at 1440p so not sure if that makes any difference.
And yeah, I felt genuinely bad throwing that dude over the bridge at the end. But I love how it lets Mike look like a proper hipster arsehole. Am taking suggestions for a nickname btw as "Dickhead Mike" is rubbish.

Yup. No joke my Mike really does look like someone I knew at high school. Bit more of a dick though.

Just attempted a mini stream of Dead Cells, I was doing pretty well too and made to my my first boss but some strawberry floater is raping my internet (for context I live in shared accomodation) and it was only broadcasting sound... strawberry float’s sake!

Assuming it’s working I’m live on DQXI now,
https://twitch.tv/cumberdanesEDIT: Peaked at 3 viewers tonight, not quite as good as last weeks 4 but hey ho. Thanks to anybody that joined me!
The very concept of people being willing to watch me play a video game still baffles me but I’m happy nonetheless.

So I just tried this on my PS4 and you're right: it's playing sound but no image. I've been strawberry floating around with the image but I'm not really sure what I'm doing and nothing seems to work.
Anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?

Try lowering the Res to 1080p for the stream? You said you had it at 1440p.. Maybe? Sounds daft but worth trying.

So it was working on your PS4 app? Hmm indeed.
Tried lowering the res but made no difference. Farting about just now and the PS4 app suddenly refused to show my test account as Live at all. Maybe it's just the app being shite (it would also crash if it was watching my livestream and I went offline)?

Considering I’m let’s just say less than tech savvy can anyone tell me how easy (or otherwise) it is to stream from Kega Fusion?

No, I was using my PC and was fine. It doesn't make sense to me to work on one thing but not another.

OBS Studio or Streamlabs OBS are what I would suggest.
Basically open OBS/SLOBS and create a scene, in the scene select game capture, and when you load up sega fusion and make it fullscreen it will auto pick it up.

If it's anything like Gens, easy at least using OBS. Just select Window Capture, then the emulator window.
EDIT: Literally as soon as I started streaming the wife came home so. I guess not today.

Game capture is better than window and uses less resources.

Thanks for the advice guys, I’ll look into that in a bit. I want to stream some Master System games, particularly Sonic.

100% but in my...5 minutes of experimentation I couldn't get OBS to recognise Gens as a game!
Did you try using game capture and trying to capture a specific window instead of letting it auto select?
