Yeah, I've found this too. Some of this was fixed by making sure you're running it as Admin.

Frame rate, resolution and your upload bitrate are what to look at. Bitrate deals with how big each individual frame should be (in bytes), so the higher the bitrate, the better quality, but the more it has to upload.

Speedtest should be able to tell you your connections max upload bitrate.

I do believe you want your upload to be about 3300 for a 720p

5000+ for 1080p.

Not long ago I got back to streaming on the GRcade channel, and for a little bit others were also streaming to the GRcade Twitch Channel. Thing is, that's kinda fizzled and the only streams there now are (the newly returned) Retro Monday, the occasional bit of Final Fantasy IX and the GRcade Twitchcast. I'm posting hoping that people would be interested in doing an occasional stream to the channel. It's pretty much at the moment P3DZ 2 and it's a shame as we had some great variety on there with Falsey and his weird simulators, Doom with his Gamecube RPGing, Earfolds with his mods.

It was pretty ace. I completely understand that people are busy and can't always jump on there to stream and that's likely the cause of the lack of streams (I know REarfolds and Doom have been busy for various reasons.) I'm hoping that they'll be able to do stuff along with others so we can have regular streams to the channel. I'm not looking for a commitment or anything, what I was doing before was sending a PM out on a Monday and then seeing who was available to stream that week. Hopefully, that approach can still work as it means people don't have to have a strict schedule on there and then there's no pressure on people to stick to it.

Anyone in?

Only thing I ask is if you unavailable, please just reply with can't this week or something, I get sad when no one replies for weeks to my PMs

Just to give you a (long) heads up, I'll be up for doing more of this kind of thing from October onwards, once my thesis is submitted.

I'd be up for it since no one watches my streams anyway Can't make any regular commitments though due to work and studies.

Can't wait, Karl. Was always nice chatting with you during the Podcast, so be cool to see your take on various games.

I've started streaming more recently (sorry for ignoring all those DMs!) so I'd be happy to take the adventures of Dickhead Mike to the GR channel at some point.
