Back with a viewer request stream (Thanks Kriken!) and "YIIK: A post-modern RPG" which I know nothing about.

Cheers, almost all my settings and layout stuff carried over from my Mac backup but The mic volume needed adjusting.

Right, I'm entertaining the idea of dabbling in some of this streaming malarkey, looks like fun :D . A bit like our MSN Messenger nights of yesteryear, but grown up slightly.

I mentioned to Aaron that there seems to be no Dart Streamers at all, so that could be my USP perhaps. Like an interactive Bullseye mixed with chatting nonsense and drinking (non-alcoholic) beer.
With a bit of gaming thrown in for good measure.

Aaron - you suggested a couple of different software options, unfortunately I couldn't hear you very well over the sound of the kettle boiling
And if I were to set something up, is there a GRcader schedule to avoid overlapping with another forum member's stream?

Don’t worry about overlapping with another streamer Lew, there are enough people doing it now that you’ll probably bump into someone most of the time. I’ll try and post a more detailed response when I can, but for now I’ll Chuck you a follow and look forward to seeing you about mate!

Yeah, there is no way to not overlap with other people from GRcade as now there are so many of us with many streaming most days of the week also.

The software to stream that I and many people use is OBS Studio. It's free and very versatile. Tgere are other ones, but OBS studio seems to be the simplest and most customizable. Any questions, just ask I and everyone else here will be happy to answer.

Hooray! I think a darts stream could be a lot of fun!

I suggested this software - https://obsproject.com/ It's pretty intuitive so just jump in and start adding sources to see what happens. Loads of guides about too and we're here to help as well! Just note that this is "OBS Studio" not "Streamlabs OBS" if you are googling for help.

Regarding schedule - there's way too many of us streaming atm to make something like that viable, so we all take the approach of "stream when suits you best, not other people".

I think you'd be a great Streamer Lew! Good luck jumping in!

EDIT: I started writing this reply like 15 minutes before I hit send so hence me repeating everyone else.

Are they not all just forks of the same core bit of software?

Would you rather eat a Ferrero Rocher or a Hazelnut covered in gooseberry fool?

They are forks of the same core software. I do believe some people have good luck with SLOBS and it reducing resources. I on the other have not so do not use it.
