I hate to agree with you, but it's bloody true. I have to collect jobseekers due to the sheer lack of jobs in my area at the moment (before you say, i've applied to so many different jobs over the past few months, but now there's like one new job cropping up every week). Every other week when I sign on, there must be about 4-5/20 people who are not from Eastern Europe. Not being racist in the slightest, but our country is in an economic downfall, shouldn't we be looking after our own citizens and british people more than the Eastern Europeans who just come in this country and do bugger all.

The immagration system in this country is a joke, we should have a system like Australia where to move here you need to be qualified in a proffesion and prove that you can sustain a living.

What the strawberry float? There's no strawberry floating way I wrote this is there? Oh my god what the strawberry float was wrong with me.

Oh my god genuinely what the strawberry float was wrong with me. Given the dates I was stuck at home as a carer, unemployed living pretty close to some really rundown areas of Essex. The only thing I can think of is I got stuck in an echo chamber somewhere. I did used to go on 4ch*n a lot back then and I didn't really have a lot of friends.

The next year after that was when I started learning Japanese and I guess that must've been when I became more open to stuff and got out of whatever the strawberry float that banana split was going on about. I genuinely have been super left wing for as long as I can remember, hell knows what the hell I was smoking back then. I guess when you're surrounded by people all blaming foreigners for every problem (all the papers, my family are not exactly left wing either) then I guess it rubs off on you without you realising.

We all have posted stuff like this. I recently came across a post I made on another forum from like 2008 where I was sceptical about climate change.

Thing is, we've changed and reevaluated our beliefs by becoming more educated about the world we inhabit. That's a good thing. A lot of people don't do that.

So I wouldn't be ashamed about it. I'm not ashamed. I was an idiot back then, I'm still an idiot now, but I'm less of one.

You'll need a lot of coffee just to get through his AYAW posts let alone his whole history. You got a few years to take off work?

I'd be careful, I really do have some awful, genuinely awful, posts of yours. ;)

Like Squinty just said, I think it's good that we have all (mostly) become better people over the years. I've been posting the bad stuff as a laugh, but it's great people have developed and altered their views over the years.

The scary people are those that haven't changed at all in the last 13 years and still have hideous views.

Don't worry Qikz, we all have dark sides of our past.

When I first joined back in 2003, I wrote out game titles in italics everyone I mentioned them.

I was a monster too.

I don't mind people from other places of the world coming to England, but not to take our jobs. Makes me wonder if this keeps up how long till us brits have to start working in kebab houses in Turkey.

If 2009 me thinks you're a bit far-right, then holy gooseberry fool, you're basically a worse Hitler.

I still have so much shame about this to this day.

How Aaron even entertains the idea of speaking to me still after I abandoned him in a foreign country, I'll never know. Lots and lots of guilt over that even after all these years.

strawberry float knows what was going through my head at the time, but I remember waking up and just seeing endless city in all directions from the hotel window and having some feeling of dread, or anxiety - I simply don't know. I think I downplayed it as home sickness or being bored of the country, but I can't explain it.

Probably my only chance to ever go to Tokyo too, so strawberry floated that up too!

It should be a completely happy memory (and it was amazing), but every time I think of it I fold into myself with guilt.

Obligatory:

That's how I feel about my guitar. Doesn't matter how much I apologised back then, I still feel ashamed. At least your situation was understandable, I was just a little twat.

Remember when Ubisoft's Frag Girls joined the forum to plug Ubisoft games and 90% of the forum fell for it, hook, line and sinker, drooling all over them and crying for attention?

Also remember "Your Wanking Disasters"?
