Other members evidently targeted were Petercrisp, tnman, and Fatal Exception, amongst a possible 17+ additional innocent regular and popular, decent and well-liked members of this community in the lead up to the hack.

Were those 17 other people informed privately?

Sounds like a pretty rough time for the board, I can't remember whether it was ONM or SONM which was once hacked, but it did cause a lot of trouble at the time and whether or not the mods knew who was ultimately responsible, it was never revealed as to who did it (though to be fair, the ONM mod team couldn't even organise an april fools without it ending in disaster).

I remember that, there were some class A dicks back then, thankfully a lot of people dropped off long before we got here.

It was ONM, I don't think I was around at the time (as I joined the forum in the run up to the Wii's release but then took several large breaks). Unfortunately means I don't have a good recollection of ONM's history, although I do remember at least one of the forum changes (I think by the end there was OONM (old ONM) and OOONM (old old ONM) from board migrations?)

I joined ONM when it first started but I moved off when the first major splinter forum LLC appeared. I went from LLC to gamesradar since my friend from ONM and LLC Dalagonash posted here at the time. I remember the first ONM migrations but can't remember when they happened, but I know evilted I think was involved in a few?
