I've these these top 200 lists before and felt like it was time for another. Questions simple really if you made a list of games you think everyone should play what games would you pick and why would you want to pick those games? Would you pick the games for their sheer quality of play, would you pick them for their impact, their narratives or how they are completely unique to everything else out there? This isn't to be confused with a best games ever list because there are a lot of games everyone should try but that doesn't mean they are great.

Rules:
You can name up to 5 games per post but you can post more than once.
No double posting, give other people a chance, after 3 more people have posted then you can have a go.
Also wouldn't hurt to say something about your choices, add pictures and videos if you wish. You don't have to if you don't want to.

My first picks:
1. Metroid Prime - An incredibly immersive world, hard to put into worlds how incredible the full experience is. The game made Retro Studios.
2. Resident Evil 4 - It's hard to find a better made action game, everything comes together so well.
3. Killer 7 - A good example of what mainstream retail releases could do if they were to go against convention, a one of a kind game, never played anything else like it.
4. Sonic CD - It's the best Sonic game but forget that what matters is how good it is on it's own merits. One of the best 2D platformers of it's time.
5. Tetris - Its Tetris man.

Super Metroid.

14. Metro 2033. A dark, atmospheric, creepy and claustrophobic post-nuclear holocaust near future world was stunningly realized in this game. One of the standout games of its time.
15. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. A beautiful, charming cartoon world, filled with personality. One of the most magical adventures I've ever experienced.
16. Ristar. Released on a 16-bit console known for being the birthplace of Sonic the Hedgehog, this title has managed somehow to emerge from the blue blur's shadow, and has achieved a cult status among some gamers. With good reason too, as this is undoubtedly one of the best platforming games around, featuring a joyous soundtrack, unique gameplay and some really challenging bosses and stages.

Two more later, I imagine.

Super Smash Brothers Melee. The perfect multiplayer game, has not aged at all since it's release.

God Hand. The perfect beat-em-up, Platinum Games will fade into oblivion before they ever match Clover's swansong.

The World Ends With You. A fascinating RPG, with style and mechanics all its own. I've yet to play anything else within the genre that feels so unique and novel at every turn, and it constantly reveals more layers.

Yakuza (series). I'd be tempted to put all numbered games as individual entrants, probably the finest videogame narrative that I've seen. Unquestionably the finest characters.

The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask. The closest rival Yakuza has for story. Even more fascinating than The World Ends With You. The atmosphere is unparallelled and by god a videogame managed to do a convincing love story.

Some entries subject to change. Maybe.

I always liked these, but thought it was weird there was no kind of vote to go with them. I could name 5 stinkers and they'd end up on the list... ? Not that I'm going to intentionally do that...

Some recentish games in there and a couple of classics and a few in between. These are some of my favorite story driven games that some might not have played.

In no particular order

1) Knights of the Old Republic

3) Dragon Age Origins
4) Binary Domain
5) Persona 4

I wouldn't say that Fallout 3 is the best game ever, but it's in the top one.
