As I was reading through this thread I was desperately trying to think who had recommended Toddler Box. I think I found the guilty party… ;)

My lad is 3 now and other than Toddler Box, he hasn’t done any gaming. I don’t even let him play with Toddler Box anymore as it is bloody dull to watch and it is always a tantrum when I try and make him stop.

I don’t game around him so he doesn’t really know he is missing out on anything. He watches too much TV and plays with our phones too much as it is!

I will obviously let him play games in the future but I am not sure when that will be.

Soz.

I get tantrums when I stop her, however if I play something decent like Lego city undercover, doom or batman she is more than happy to sit and watch

I downloaded a couple of extra games from my PSN+ catalogue for my little girl now that she has her own PS4 (it's still under my account being as Fortnite is tied to it). She really likes Infamous First Light, a Hat in Time and Tekken 7. She also wants to use her pocket money to buy Minecraft.

My boy's 3. He plays PJMasks games on the iPad, though only occasionally. He also adores the PS camera augmented reality thing where you kick the aliens.

I've tried to get him going Yoshi's Island, but he struggles to coordinate moving with doing other stuff. We've now moved on to Mario Maker, though I've not had chance to make him any decent levels yet.

This afternoon we're keeping it old school and playing Scalextric.

My eldest plays a variety of things. He's twelve and plays CoD, FIFA, GTAV (oddly only the online part and only with his friends and my sister,) Spider-Man, Fallout 4 and 76 and loads of other stuff. He also, having played a NES Mini in some gaming thing in Cardiff a year or so ago really likes Mega Man. Funny thing is him and his Younger Brother who is 11 both played PSVR there and when I asked if they wanted to try another game they were like, 'Nah, can we go back on the NES and SNES Mini's?' it was pretty funny, tbh. They enjoyed playing them and some arcade games there. I believe it was Turtles.

My 11 year old likes Minecraft, Terraria and Roblox (I can't stand it, and am very much considering looking into how to block it from my house.) He mainly plays Roblox with his 2 younger brothers.

My 8 year old seems to like Minecraft and Roblox (see above) and he loves Sonic. He's also a big fan of Banjo Kazooie after playing Rare Replay a few years back.

My 6 year old is again into Minecraft and Roblox

They all like watching YouTube videos with people playing games, I'm trying my damnedest to keep on top of what they are watching, though. Cause strawberry float letting them watch some banana split like PewDiePie.

My 11 year old while he does watch game videos he tends to watch more things about things theory's on certain cartoons he likes (for example, Steven Universe,) but mostly watches stuffed about space. He strawberry floating adores space. I think with being autistic when he focuses on something, he REALLY focuses on something. Still, space is ace. Oh thinking about space he loves Universe Sandbox².

Have you tried playing kerbals with him? I used to play that loads with my daughter, if he is in to space? I found it a great dad kid bonding game.

+1 for Kerbal. It's a funny game but it also has a surprising amount of depth and educational value. A kid could easily end up "accidentally" learning university-level orbital mechanics just through messing around in Kerbal.

Roblox has a surprisingly intuitive game making engine but the online community absolutely sucks, don't touch the online part with a tenfoot pole. I wish it was possible to export Roblox games to something more serviceable than the Roblox community
