GRcade plays... Dark Souls series

I recognise this lady from Whatculture gaming. She's completely obsessed by the series.

Yea she left there about a year ago to be a full time streamer, it's gone quite well for her so far!

I started a run as a deprived character class with the rule that I couldn’t change my gear and I once played an hour armed with a ladle.

The ladle was painful to use as it does no damage it breaks very easily.

Haha! If I were to stream Souls then it'd be with me starting a fresh run (or, realistically, crawl) of Souls Remastered. I enjoyed (with a wee bit of AAAaargh!) it so much before. Apart from the dang Capra Demon, obvs.

No need to restart, just go to an earlier area to get in some practice and Souls.

Would you go for a different kind of build this time jawa or stick with something similar? If I recall rightly you were a fan of the big two handed swords last time round?

I'm... not sure, Jenuall. First time I was a Knight but the second time something a little faster... "warrior", maybe, IIRC? I liked that second run and I think I'd go with that type again.

Excited to see what you choose! There are always cool new weapons to try out in Souls. Just a suggestion but you could try a bow or crossbow in your second slot - not as your main weapon, but I find it adds a bit of variety and can be handy in certain situations!

Yeah, that sounds neat, site. I did briefly use some kind of bow in my last run... only a bit, but I shot the tail off that dragon on the bridge! And thus I gained a cool sword IIRC!

Ah of course! Shooting off the Drake Sword is a classic Dark Souls moment

Yeah, I hadn't known about it during my first run but then I saw Pedz playing the game and he was absolutely lamping enemies that I'd struggled with... that's when I found out about the Drake Sword. IIRC, it's a great weapon to have up until you reach Blighttown.
