Dang, yeah, now that I know she's cool and just chilling, no way do I want to attempt at battling her!

Karl_ wrote:...I've thought about streaming bits of this GR-plays! I'll definitely post here if I do!

It was good to see bits of your stream earlier by the way! I saw the Taurus Demon throw you off the bridge - I said "nooooo!" out loud!

It'd be so neat to see you showcasing your Souls skills on stream, Karl (if and when you feel like it, of course). And, oh boy, that Taurus Demon... he actually shunted me over towards the pathway ledge and then booted me off :-D .

Cumberdanes wrote:I beat the first boss of the final Dark Souls 2 DLC tonight. Tonight was the most fun I’ve had playing that game in a good while.

It was a really entertaining session, Danes. The snowy environment was interesting and you did well to tackle the invisible beasties. The enemies with those icy crystals on their backs looked good.

What a battle! Seeing you storm through, it demonstrated how the Bloodborne action is a lot faster than in Souls I. It was ace how you said you'd have one final attempt at that boss... and you emerged victorious!

I'm gonna return to Souls I today. Off-stream I will try to duff up that big hog (because I remember that you get some neat attire as a reward...) and then I'll continue the journey on stream; probably early afternoon.

I didn't manage to stream anything last night as I'm still seeing things up on the new system but I did start my souls adventure last night.

I decided to randomly select things on the character creator in the end (class, starting gift etc.) and so ended up with Jenny the Bandit, a red haired commoner who has brought the master key on the adventure with her!

Ah! I selected the key, too, Jenuall - we will be the masters of unlocking! Looking forward to seeing you give the new PC a run-out on stream.

The helmet from the armoured boar is not a guaranteed drop BTW Jawa, there’s only a 20% chance of getting it.

Oh! I must have been lucky last time! Ta for the heads-up... I'll leave that for now, then. Just getting ready to go live.

Had a quick go today and killed the Bell Gargoyles. Haven't decided where I'll head to next.

Dang, that sounds like a pain. Hope that you can get it sorted!

Nice play, Zilnad! The gargoyles are tough... I have just finished my session and they bashed me up a few times! I did defeat the hog, though; I lured it into the fire 8-) .

Just reached the bonfire in Blighttown - not a fan of this place, it's too dark and poisonous for my liking.

Ah! Blighttown... everyone's favourite area! It sure is tricky but so satisfying once you have worked your way through it.

well i reinstalled the mods and it worked fine the 2nd time :fp:
playing as a warrior and lots of blue titanite dropping so might be a magic build at this rate
currently rocking a +3 or so halberd. killed the gargoyles and now thinking ill go through valley to blighttown next. i have the spider shield so that will be handy vs the blowdart things. i hate depths so will avoid.

randomizer has its downsides though. Maf & Dual will be annoyed to hear that that zweihander was replaced with a soul :x but i did get a fire keeper soul so im estus +1 before i even freed lautrec :D

I had no idea that a randomiser version existed! You must need to have a pretty good knowledge of the game to cope with different things popping up!

Good going, man. I hope to get past the gargoyles and be able to make my way to Blighttown.

cheers jawa - yes at the moment the randomiser is just the correct combination of familiar and challenging - it doesnt make anything impossible but you will have to think to work out where you can go next with what youve got!

I had a relatively successful session streaming Dark Souls 2 on Saturday night. I’m still plodding on with the last DLC. I unlocked the optional area with the heavy blizzard, I recruited all the knights who help with the end boss then finally had a few fights against the end boss himself.

The bad news? I didn’t win. The good news? He doesn’t seem unbeatable. He is however relentlessly aggressive and only seems to target me despite having NPC summons with me.

I recall the Capra Demon challenge bring a pain mainly due to the two (?) hounds that attack you and the enclosed area that you battle in. The stairs are a big help , though. Great progress, Zilnad!

Sounds like the end is near, 'Danes! It feels like you've really been into this journey even though some of the enemy setups frustrated. Have you enjoyed the DLC a bit more than you'd expected to?
