Had a quick test of this on the new PC this afternoon, is forgotten how slow the first game was, the player feels like he's moving through treacle the whole time!

If I can get it setup in time I'm going to try and do a stream starting my proper journey into the game tonight :D

Had a quick blast on this just now - finally beat that Black Knight bastard. Figured I'm at least good enough to try the Stray Demon so trigger that fight and strawberry float ME :dread:

Tried twice and gave up, couldn't even get a hit in before getting completely obliterated. Headed back to Firelink Shrine to grind some more, but I'll return that that horror when I'm ready.

I died so many times in the first city that my weapons actually got weaker. I can’t repair it until I beat the first boss. I can’t level up until I beat the first boss.

So deleted the damn game. :slol:

And I’m thinking of jumping back in. :fp: but don’t add me to the list. I may end up getting Demons’ Souls on the PS5. As someone said it’s a bit more easier than Bloodborne?

Bloodborne is arguably the easiest of the bunch, the faster paced combat and the chance to recover your health by attacking promotes an aggressive playstyle which doesn't work very well in the others.

i completely disagree  i beat most of the DS3 bosses in the first 10 attempts. i think every Bloodborne boss took me 20-40 attempts :dread:

I'd probably say Sekiro is the easiest of the lot tbh. No stamina management and the timings for parrying are much more generous than the other games.

It seems that you're steaming through the game and taking names, Karl! Well done on defeating Capra Demon :toot: .

Stumbling upon someone's "fap status" online is usually a more treacherous event than this turned out to be

Is it referring to the ring?

I believe it's an abbreviation for a ring in the game.

I hope so anyway! :slol:

Bloodborne doesn’t have a parry system? Or do it...?

Yes it does, and it's a very useful mechanic

It's what the guns are for. If you shoot the enemy at the right time just before their attack hits then it staggers them and you can do a visceral attack

Put in another 90 mins or so just now.

I killed the Moonlight Butterfly ( ) and the Stray Demon ( ). I also got the Wolf Ring, which is really going to help my build - the Wanderer Armour has no poise at all and I was sick of getting knocked about! There's much more room for small mistakes now.

I'm now ready to head down to Blighttown to grab Power Within and fight Quelaag!

I remember seeing this beastie in my run last year... couldn't damage it, though. I think you need to use a bow or something?

Blighttown  . And Quelaag :dread: .

Do you ever stream your gaming, Karl?

A ranged option does help, as she spends a lot of the fight flying around. She lands on the arena occasionally though, so that's an opportunity to melee attack.

It's one of my favourite fights because it casts the player as a villain - the Moonlight Butterfly isn't evil, she's just hanging out, and you kill her for no reason (besides wanting to loot her corpse and home, I guess!). In her lore, she's a victim (of weird magic experiments!), not a monster. The strange, haunting music that accompanies the battle really sets that mood.

Karl_ wrote:Do you ever stream your gaming, Karl?

I have done a couple of times, but not regularly! I remember me, Maf, Falsey, and probably one or two others, hanging out once or twice. I'm a bit shy to be honest, but I've thought about streaming bits of this GR-plays! I'll definitely post here if I do!

It was good to see bits of your stream earlier by the way! I saw the Taurus Demon throw you off the bridge - I said "nooooo!" out loud!

I beat the first boss of the final Dark Souls 2 DLC tonight. Tonight was the most fun I’ve had playing that game in a good while.
