I found Sif really easy (sorry Preezy) I remember just being able to take his hits on my shield with no issue.

Some bosses (Sif, Four Kings come to mind) punish "middle of the road" builds. They're easier if you're VERY speedy or EXTREMELY fat, but if you fall in the middle somewhere, they give you a hard time.

You need to keep your equipment load something around 70% or below, otherwise you 'fat' roll like you describe. I used to wear loads of heavy armour until I realised this, and by the last half of the game I was wearing the gold hemmed cloak and doing much better. I found it just better to be able to move as quickly as possible.

I shall try and fight Sif again wearing nothing but my stained undercrackers :toot:

It seems I'm the only one to struggle

I've got a bunch of shields - any idea which is the best to use against Sif?

Remember rings and weapons/shields add to the weight. If you're not going to use what's equiped in your off hand during the boss fight, then unequip it.

Looking back at my vid I was using the eagle shield which is one of the bigger ones. Obviously dont know how that would effect you set up. I was able to use it and dodge a lot to.

I’m assuming that Sif just does physical damage so you just need to pick a shield that has 100% reduction for that, then the main things are how heavy it is as that will impact your speed and the level of stability it offers which controls how much stamina you lose when blocking

The shield's "Stability" stat will be the most useful thing against Sif. You don't want her to break your guard as some of her moves combo.

And that's my plan. Well, whenever I find Sif.

Beat the four kings :datass: I presume there's nothing else in the abyss. Now I need to find the Witch of Iziliath or something

THE WOLF HOLDS NO FEAR :toot:

The tactic worked - stripped away all of my gear and switched out my Elite Knight set for a sexy little Shadow number, looked like I was going to war in my pyjamas

First attempt - got him down to 1 swing away from victory but I couldn't block an attack in time, but it was the best I'd managed in all my attempts so was instantly filled with confidence for the next go.

Second attempt - I nailed it, managed my rolls and blocks much better and timed the swigs from my Estus to perfection. Good old Drake Sword did the damage and that was that.

He was a good boy though, poor thing

glad Preezy's hitting his stride :toot:
just as i am in Sekiro - the parry/posture/counter system starting to make sense and feel like im not just randomly mashing buttons which is nice. Genichiro will be dead soon!

Yeah, you can stream directly from your PS4 to Twitch, <]:^D - it works pretty well. It'll be good to see your Sekiro journey!

There both is and isn’t something else in the Abyss depending how you’ve been playing up to that point.

I have just done The Four Kings on my first go!!!! My hands are literally shaking. I just absolutely tanked them, wore Havel’s armour and used my +12 Zweidhander. I could hardly move but my attacks were so powerful.

I’ve been smashing through the game, Jawa because I recently broke my ankle, so it’s just been me at home with Switch. It’s been so good to be able to get this much gaming in.
