GRcade plays... Dark Souls series

To be fair I think you should stream what you want. If you want to play the opening again that's up to you, the important thing is that you're having fun. :toot:

For what it's worth you can always mix it up a bit when you start a new character. Change your build (different weapon instead of a sword? a bit of magic?), or take the Master Key to open some locked paths early, or have a poke around Darkroot and/or the Catacombs after beating the Gargoyles. It's totally up to you though!

Absolutely, man! I've only tackled those early areas twice and they're cool to work through.

Yeah, on my 2019 run I was a Knight character; which I believe is a slower option with a stronger defensive ability. In my second run - last year - I was... I think... a Warrior; which was a wee bit quicker. I had the Master Key on my second play, too!

I didn't get to the Darkroot basin on my second play; I did during my first run but I couldn't work out how to hit the butterfly boss.

Even just talking about this makes me eager to give it another go! I plan on deciding upon my "games to focus on" list first, though.

ps i found my ps4 headset so i would be actually speaking on stream if i did Bloodborne

I’m back in the Bloodborne game! A friend at work gave me his PS4 so I’ve started it again. I’ve just been to Cainhurst Castle and defeated the boss there, it was incredibly intense, the hardest boss I’ve fought to far. It’s a beautiful game. I particularly enjoyed the area with the Witch of Hemwick, it felt very Resident Evil-esque.

It really is. I particularly like the locations where you’re away from the main area, very atmospheric. I’ve heard the DLC is incredibly difficult though, so not sure if I’m going to go for that just yet ...

I don't recall finding the DLC massively more difficult than the main game, it's definitely a challenge but felt like a fair step from the rest

What level did you finish the game at?

Good question, I really can't remember at this point! I don't remember feeling like I was over-levelled though.

Would also be down for Bloodborne but <]:^D has first dibs on that!

Edit: I have never finished a Soulsborne game! Have about 10 hours on DS1 and 25 hours on BB. So would be coming in pretty fresh.

Well I have the game and offered to do it but obviously that wasn't good enough!

I've only got it on PC so can't help I'm afraid but I would have thought DS3 would be dirt cheap by this point?

TBH, if yourself, Aayl1 and <]:^D have say Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne and Sekiro between you, you could work out if 1 of you could do 1 of each? Like Aayl1 has Bloodborne, you have DS3 and maybe <]:^D has Sekiro? so you could work around that, then again you may not want to play said games. What's the best compromise?
