I was saved slightly by my mistakenly putting an extra midfielder on who didn't play. They were replaced with Gomis. Still at the bottom of most leagues I'm in but it could have been a lot worse

Making Rooney captain this week was a bad move. Got 6 points from Ashley Williams for the clean sheet though :D

Yep Rooney has cost me this week too, luckily my defence seems to be making up for the poor performance of my strikers.

Nightmare week for me - just 17 points! Ouch!

Could all be turned around tomorrow night if Benteke scores, say, five or six goals, each from an 'assist' from Milner or Clyne.

Not impossible.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

I'm on 31 with Benteke still to play. Thinking that some of my Chelsea players need to be shown the door...

I've got a plan for my team, which utilises the £3m I had left over so I could eventually get either Aguero or Sanchez. So I'm doing Rooney for Aguero next week then Ivanovic for Darmian after that and that should free up enough that I can swap Sterling or Ramsey for Silva

I'm giving Rooney the Newcastle game if he puts in another woeful performance he's being shown the door.

This week I've pulled in 41pts with Clyne and Henderson still to play. Is Henderson still on penalty duty for Liverpool?

I've had a reasonably decent round so far - 43 points, which is looking alright considering I started a week late. If Coutinho could add a few more later that would be great. Think I need to fit Aguero in somehow too or I'll be missing out on a stack of points every week. Probably need to bin out Romero if DDG stays also.

For the second week in a row Gomis is the only player in my team to score - unless Benteke does tonight.

Do people think Otamendi will push Mangala out of City's starting XI?

I'm doing a Fantasy Footy at work where nobody can pick the same player. We had a draft session in the pub to bid for our original 11, so it's getting pretty exciting with the new signings coming into the league. Nobody has money left over, so you can grab some bargains by attempting to swap out one of your cheap players for an incoming player.

How do you decide who gets to go for a new player first? Surely you'll all be going for him?

I've wildcarded for Aguero this week.

I ended up with 44 points in the end, thanks to Benteke and Clyne in my team. I've had a good old switch around for this week; as I do every year I ended up picking an initial team that I think would legitimately be the business on the pitch, as opposed to being one which will earn the most points. So I often pick a couple of defensive, never going to score a goal midfielders for example. I think it's the result of decades of Football Manager!

Mangala has been excellent in the first two games so I don't expect Otemendi to come in straight away.

Do we have any Malaysian Liverpool fans on GR? This individual is currently top of the league: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/2012147/event-history/2/

EDIT: We also have a Bulgarian Bournemouth fan our midst: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/2335961/event-history/2/

We all had 50 million to spend in increments of 0.1, so some player still have a million or so left. You also get back the fee you paid when transferring a player out.

I paid 1 million for Federico Fernandez and I have 0.5 left in the bank, so I could try and bid up to 1.5 for Otamendi. Someone might go and swap out their 8 million John Terry for him however.
